Testing on 5+ night cruises

How does this work and when are the tests done? What happens if u test positive? Is there a mandatory quarantine when you disembark?

From the DCL website, the test occurs on the day before debarkation. The rest, I don't know.

I thought it was a post on that thread, but it's another thread that mentions they were assigned a time to test on the morning prior to debarkation day. They quarantine the last evening, with room service for dinner. As for debarkation the next day -- I'm not sure there is anything specific "needed" to leave the cruise ship. I don't think DCL has any authority to enforce quarantine off the ship, so what you do is probably up to you. It may be wise to have travel insurance.

Our sons test this last Fantasy Cruise showed up on the app as an activity, then they delivered a notice with all the same info from our Stateroom host. It was for 8:15am to 9:15am, and they showed up about 8:25, with a Binax Now rapid test, the kind you can buy at CVS, Walgreens etc.

I swabbed my son by the door, with supervision from 2 CM’s who stood in the hallway, then they gave us the test to leave on a flat surface and they said they would be back in 15 min. Right about 15 min later they knocked on the door, checked the results and gave him a fist bump and told us we were all good to go. Nothing further than that, but he also told me he never had more than 2-3 kids in his group at the Club/Lab, so we weren’t too concerned with possible exposure.
