It seems we had a craving of a certain person last week, and I felt compelled to oblige the masses.
Ladies and ummm Ladies.....Hugh Jackman!!!!!
The 6'3" actor was born and bred in Sydney, Australia to English parents on October 12, 1968. He has four older siblings and one younger sister.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) with a journalism major from the University of Technology (in Sydney), but gave up being a journalist for the stage. In 1991 he completed the one year course "The Journey" at the Actors' Center in Sydney. He then graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1994.
He met his wife, actress and director Deborra-Lee Furness on his first television acting job in Corelli. After 4 years of marriage, they welcomed Oscar to the family (May 2000).
He sang the National Anthem in front of 100,000 people at the Melbourne Cricket ground before the 1998 Blediscoe Cup. Apart from his Olivier Award nomination for Oklahoma! Hugh has won a Variety Club stage actor award and two Mo awards, and been nominated for several more, including, in June 1999, Australian Cultural Ambassador! In the summer of 1999 he was named Australian Star of the Year.
His talents include playing the piano, he's learning the guitar and he can juggle 5 balls in the air at once. He plays golf, goes windsurfing, and practices Transcendental Meditation.
Next acting role in film will be Animal Husbandry opposite Ashley Judd, rumored to be released this year.
