Hey, I was just reading my Unofficial Guide 2004 (I'm going stir crazy! Time is passing so slowly!!) and came across this testimony (pg 503):

"People from the Epcot resorts enter the park at the International Gateway, far away from Test Track. We were first in the park from the International Gateway, but when we got to Test Track the line was already 95 minutes long."

Yikes! Is there any truth to this?! Does everybody immediately run to TT? Do I stand any chance of being able to get on this ride without waiting longer than 30 min (with or w/o FP)? Has the opening of M:S eased the TT lines at ALL?

When I was there last Wednesday it was the longest line we encounter that day it was still the same length by the time the park was about to close. 45 minutes and the park was not crowded at all.

get there early and if the line is long, remember to get a fastpass and come back later to ride with no wait..

Yeah, the last time we were there we never even made it on, even with fast passes. (The weather had something to do with that though.) I don't get it. I didn't think it was a very exciting or interesting ride the one time I went on it. Maybe it grows on you.

Hi JellyDisney,

First, thanks for reading the Unofficial Guide. If you get there right at park opening, I don't think your wait will be 95 minutes. If the wait exceeds 30 minutes, grab a FASTPASS and tour another park of Future World East. In fact, getting a FASTPASS and heading to Mission:Space might be your best bet for the next week or so.

Hope this helps! Have a great time.

Sincerely,

Len

in Jan we didn't have a real long wait 10-15 and truthfully we were really disappointed...not that great to me. we did go first thing after MS and hub got sick so that could explain his lack of enthusiasm but I just thought except for the speed track part it is was kind of boring

Another suggestion....depending on who is in your party...if you don't care whether or not you all ride together, in the same car, check out the wait for the singles line...should be a lot shorter and chances are, you all may still end up together!

To your other question, I do not think that Mission Space has shortened the lines at TT based on our trips since MS has opened. In fact, I am starting to wonder that MS is attracting more traffic to Epcot FW and thus to TT as well

thanks

Hi there -

Here's our stragedy...

We get to Epcot within a 1/2 hour of it's opening time and DH takes all our tickets and heads straight for TT to get Fastpasses. We meet up at Spaceship Earth, do a few other attractions and then head back to TT for our ride (usually 1-1.5hrs later). It's usually early enough that we are able to get another FP to use later in the day if we feel like riding it twice. So far we've never waited to ride that ride.

That was going to be my strategy for TT, but I read here recently that they are no longer opening the singles' line everyday. Does anyone have experience with this? Has anyone gone looking for the singles' line to find that it's closed?

I'm going just before Easter, and we're doing Epcot first day, so we won't be able to get there until early afternoon. My plan was to get MS fastpasses first thing, then get in the singles' line at Test Track.

We were there last month, President's week, and the single rider line was open. I have no doubt that it will be open just before Easter because they are busy that week. You may not be able to get a MS fastpass early afternoon because they might be all gone, like those of TT. We like to get there just before they open the ropes and let everyone in, grab a FP for TT, then head over to MS. The other way works too, but we have found that TT passes are gone first. Just be prepared for the sea of people all heading the same direction you are going! You can also head over that way about 8:30 p.m., and the crowds aren't too bad, and the lines are much shorter.

Go in when the park opens. Get a FP for TT. Then go do UoE or another nearby attarction. Before going to TT, get another FP for M:S (like 5 minutes after your TT FP time) , then go to TT.... by the time you get out should be almsot time for M:S.

We did this 3 days last time. It worked.
