Not sure if this is the right place to post this but anyway-

Last time I rode test track, it broke down twice in one ride- we were waiting for AGES, then it started up again and my whole car was screaming that they were scared the doors at the end wouldn't open and we were gonna crash.

Is that possible? Is it possible that if the ride can break down and stop, then the doors can get stuck?

No, it's not possible. There are sensors along the ground that will automatically stop the car from crashing if the doors are not working.

I haven't seen the design specs for Test Track, but if you talking about even the smallest absolute remote possibility that it could happen, then yes, I would think so. I would guess that the ride has huge safety factors built in to prevent something like this from ever happening, but as with anything mechanical, there is the possibility of failure. Now we might be talking the same probability as lighting striking the same place twice in a row, but that's not the same as saying it has zero chance of happening. Is it likely that every safety measure would fail at the same time to allow this to happen? No. So, I wouldn't really worry about this happening.

those doors may not be as thick as you think, or made of a more "breakable" material. Disney are master illusionaires, so keep that in mind too

Yup.
They're "breakaway" doors. (Just in case.)

Your car-mates were either just trying to stir things up or were needlessly worrying.

I'm so very sorry that you had to be seated in a car full of idiots.

Most of the time when you think the ride has broken down it has actually stopped to load or unload someone in a wheelchair.

I remember when I took my then 9 year old niece when it first opened, she screamed as we headed for the doors!

As I recall, one of the reason opening was delayed in the late 90's was they couldn't get the timing with the door correct.

:offtopic:I'm actually more scared when Splash Mountain stops (as I was stuck under the buzzards for 20-30mins) then the ride starts up so close to the log in front of our log. I always think the log that just went didn't, and we are going to crash into it. Panic! :faint:
