Sorry I didn't make it back yesterday. I spent a little time at my sisters, then went to try and get my id but found they were closed for the holiday . That should have occured to me, but then yesterday, wasn't a holiday :. Spent the night at Dorney, which was more fun than I thought it would be, but not as much fun as it should have been . Everyone going to fireworks for the 4th? I have a feeling I'm going to miss them this year , but it's ok they've been awful the last few years. On another non-related note, I've been adding little cheats to my diet all week, and today, I just want to ignore it . . . just for today. I know I shouldn't, but I almost don't care today and I am still losing weight even with the little add ins. Ok, so try to talk me out of it, or tell me it's ok I don't care, I'll either do it or I won't any way . I'll try to be around more today, assuming anyone else will be .

Our town did fireworks last night...they always do stuff on dumb days to me, the 4th is the 4th is the 4th....

I'm moving around in slow motion this a.m.....can't get the motor running, but I'm hoping to get in gear....LOL.....Happy Sunday all! ........(and I'm glad I'm not as old as the USA)

Ah, cheating, did a bit of that myself yesterday....I had some ice cream and a piece of pound cake, just because......... its ok to cheat a little, ya have to allow yourself something once in a while or for me, I would go off the deep end...now today I really don't feel like I "need" anything, cause I had my fun yesterday....so if you want to, go for it, we won't yell at ya.. and for most of us, we jump back on the horse within a day and all is well....

Dorney Park, went there years ago and it is a fun place. Do they have lots of new rides? Have they kept with the times? I lived in Reading before I was married and we went to Allentown many times.

morning all!

we did our town fireworks lastnight too, but i already told you all that yesterday anyway, it was alot of fun and the fireworks were good as usual--they have an awsome showing of ground displays and the air ones.

today i am going to pizza work for a couple of hours then i think the boys in my family are going to go enjoy a camp out while the gals might stay behind. We were invited to one of my friends house for dinner and fireworks so we might do that but not completely sure yet.

tomorrow we will go to my uncles where we will go boating, skiing, and all that fun stuff.

Yep, mom Dorney's changed a lot over the years. They just added two more new rides this year. They took down a rollercoaster that they put up when I was about 6, and put up a new one, but that's ok the other one was the only one they had that I really didn't like. Most of the new rides are fun, but my cousin and I were talking about how much we miss some of the old ones. Like "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Were you ever on that one? It was so much fun .

I hate to admit this, but my trip to Dorney would have been over 30 years ago........LOL....pre-marriage days when I guess I was about 19...........SOOOOOOOOOO....what rides they had I'm sure I've forgotten

Do you like Hershey also? Guess I was last up there about 10 years ago or so. We went to Kings Dominion several years ago too and I just wasn't wild about it. We mostly went to let our little girl see all the Blues Clues stuff, she was very into that at the time. My son went and brought a friend and they went off and did all the coasters and stuff, so it was a day well spent.

I only ever went to Hershey once when I was I think 8 and it was fun, but a little bit disappointing for me because I was too little to go on everything. I keep meaning to go again, but I just havent got around to it. Before yesterday I hadn't even been to Dorney in about 5 maybe even 6 years.

You really have to stop hotlinking images from other websites into your posts. You are stealing bandwidth everytime someone accesses that post. What you are doing is tantamount to your neighbor tapping into your home electricity. They get the lights, you get the bill. Linda sprained her ankle before we left and twisted it worse while she was there but we got her in an a brace and she did what she could do.

OH DEAR, so sorry about the ankle, but what a trooper to try and carry on....hope it is feeling better and she will not have lingering problems. Can't wait to see some pix....did you do Maid of the Mist? It is something I remember as being pretty fun and neat. Mind you, this was like 20 yrs. ago that we went....LOL...we stayed on the Canadian side when we went.
