all nonrefundable tickets have been sold out for most if not all of sept and oct. i got tired of checking each day and gave up to see if the entire month was like that.


they are only selling the refundable tickets.......





just got a phone call, the high school cancelled my job.........so i am home today. but the son wants to go on the computer now .

How very sad Adam. He was just a boy. Im very glad though you got a chance to know him.

It was so funny last night watching TC. It was as if most of them just lost it right there. People just letting out all kinds of stuff but I never really though Katie would vote against Ian. I know she was mad at him but a girl is gonna pick her guy over someone else anytime--even when you are mad at them so......But I did think it was funny last night when Tom was being "mean" to her. He knows he cant trust her.

Does Independance fly out of Boston? They have some great deals on flying to Florida.

okay i am back again but just for a minute! I have to get stuff done before malarie comes to watch the kids so i can go to trent's school for his sport-o-rama.

mac--those prices are awful!!! sorry they are so high!! i think we would have paid around 250 per person for ours if we would have bought everything seperate. airline tickets are crazy here though because we don't have the discounted air--we have southwest but that is it. sorry your job got cancelled for the day--relax a little!!

mic--have fun at your movie today--it would be a good day for a movie here--rainy and dark!

adam--so sorry to hear that you were feeling down!!! we are here for you if you need us!!

ocm--the pizza place is good--it is more fun than i thought it would be--ofcourse i get out of the house so i think that is the fun part! I think it is going to come to a stop though because i usually work there on wed. and thurs. but just got the boys ball schedule and they play alot on wed and thurs so we will see but i am NOT going to miss my kids stuff for a job i really don't need!

deena--do you get a break during the summer or do you tend to get more busy???

ed--sounds like you have a good deal on airfare! is that about normal price for you or is it high/low?

hi all......a few things to say...



ed, my back is turned, twist that knife one more time......
used to paying $49 a way on spirit. this is the first time ever i have seen them sell out of tickets in the last five trips i have used them.

i got to macomb late and it was 7:59.........i made the kid who's all college costs depend on me, turn the tv on. he hates american idol..

so i did get to watch ai. whew.....
after that was over he had to take a shower so i used his laptop. found an email alert from spirit at 9:25 pm that said a special sale was extended until midnight that night for summer and fall rates.
most of the flights were $39 a way but not chicago.
i put in my dates but the later 11 am flight was sold out for the week before and after my dates. that made me think. hmm, should i wait till after the sale and see how much the tickets go down , which is what spirit ususally does to sell the few left or book at the higher rate???
been checking and waiting and price has ranged from $180 to $365 round trip so far. sunday it was $202 and like an idiot, i took a pass on it.
wed night it was $242.90 and i booked it and was mad on how high it was.

good thing i did as all seats sold out at midnight on the fall flights for three weeks in sept and most of october.
in sept, my flight is $86 and coming back columbus day $138 add tax and fees to this and it comes to $242.90

when i say the seats are all sold out, i am referring to the sale and non refundable seats. the refundable seats are over $700, but i have never booked those type. the first class is still available, 9 seats of them are going for over $900. round trip.

pam, how is the weight loss going?
mic: i would never hurt you. you gave me good advice on waiting but who knew that this fall disney would be so booked. this is a sign it is going to be crowded.
i had to add an extra day in order to get the cheaper, cough cough, fare. now leaving the day before i planned. have to call disney to add a night to the room ressie.

adam, those are great pics !! anniversary dates are difficult when it comes to losing people. keeping you in my thoughts, you are my friend.

Afternoon...well almost and its cool and dank here too...the sun is trying to come out...

So, after reading mac's novel on airfare.... it looks like she won't be walking to WDW..........YEAH....keep a watch though, if they should go down again, it may be worth paying a penalty to get the lower price, or they might give you a voucher....I figure it never hurts to ask, all they can do is laugh in your face...........

Looks like we are heading out to dinner and a movie...cutting it close, but we want to hit the 5 pm movie for the matinee price...not another showing til 7, so we will eat fast...........heck doesn't take long to swallow a salad anyway Is next weekend Star War's debut? I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the theatre that day...and I don't like Star War's anyhoot, so I don't have to be concerned about seeing it.............the boys will most likely go after it calms down...they are into all that stuff............if I hear about Lord of the Rings one more time or walk in the room and its on the TV....

hey mic

yes spirit gives vouchers if requested by the customer.
book at a certain rate and if the fare decreases (all the way up to 24 hours before departure) you can receive a voucher for the difference.

one year i bought at a higher rate of $82 a way on spirit for myself and one son and the next week it dropped to $39 a way on a special.

so i called and received a voucher worth the difference, $86.
i used that voucher the next year and ended up paying only a little over $100 for the two of us.


but with the situation right now for spirit, that won't happen this year.
tickets one way is $343 plus tax and they are the refundable sort.
all non refundable were sold out.

if by chance people cancel their flight and those few tickets go back to the public for resale, you betcha i will call for the voucher.

Blech! I hate coconuts especially these Mounds bars. It is a sin to waste chocolate on a pile of waxed paper. (shudders!)

Better go and finish my Take Five bars before my kids come home!
