TEST (part 2)

RV, your Valentine's all-rolled into one day sounds fun..hope it works out

We are beyond celebrating it, but I did send my gs's cards with a little money in them they like getting cards from grandma and grandpa...

consider your trip a valentine:thumbsup2 & give your guy a hug! tricia has the right idea! can't get fired up about oatmeal though, mickey waffles sound good right about now.

tricia - when do you leave for the trip? my friend's flying down after skool on Wednesday

pam - so the gift card is in the mail? eek, hope u get credit for it, let us know.

ocm - where do i sign on to strike? my youngest must've discovered girls...all the charactar t-shirts (his 100 or so Simpsons) are sitting in his drawer; wearing the same 3 polo shirts i've been nagging him to wear for a year:rolleyes1 sez he needs more...told him to wait until the snow clears...in April or May.

lori - i believe in lake sharks! like land sharks, only they don't come in a bottle...lil bird told me they were supposed to start selling that brew in PA this week - too snowbound to check it out lol

tricia - when do you leave for the trip? my friend's flying down after skool on Wednesday

We'll leave Friday after we drop Joshua off at school and Maggie Dog off at the kennel. (I hope I don't get confused and take the wrong one to the wrong place  ) We're driving, so we won't be down there until dinner time. Driving back Monday morning. We're cutting it as close as we can so that we aren't away from the boys (and imposing on the grandparents) any longer than necessary.

morning all!

have been busy this morning...i got a visit from the state today for my yearly check up. Good for another year:thumbsup2 she had nothing to complain about.

ocm--let me know how that works for ya...my kids wouldn't be able to survive without me. I have just came to that conclusion.;)

wacthing the Clemens/ McNamee trial right now:eek: Not really looking good for Clemens I don't think.:sad2:

OCM - I agree about fighting on the clothes. If they get cold it is their problem. What else can you do?

Good luck on the strike. Let me know how it all works out.

Pam - Like OCM said, if she gets cold maybe she will learn not to do it again. Sure would help with arguing about it.

Table Rock lake is very deep. I can just imagine what is growing in that lake. I have heard stories of people seeing monster catfish while scuba diving in our lakes here and they are nothing compared to Table Rock. :scared1:

Congrats on the successful visit!

TVT - Morning. I am pretty close to Kansas though. Does that count for anything?

I bet you are glad you visited last week.

mac - It is going to be decent around here again today too. Weather is supposed to be moving in again for the weekend. :headache:

Tricia - I sure can't wait for that trip report. You are prepared to provide on e, right? Sure hope you don't drop Joshua at the kennel!;)

mic - I hope the rain clears out. I was enjoying the beach reports.

KS - Mickey waffles sound great! Or Parmesan garlic mashed potatoes!:cloud9:

So the ds has discovered girls huh? Good luck with that!

Well lake sharks may be possible in places like Florida & Louisianna where there is salt water but I don't' think they can really survive in fresh water. Can they?:scared1:

Tricia - I sure can't wait for that trip report. You are prepared to provide one, right? Sure hope you don't drop Joshua at the kennel!;)

Sure! If I can do a trip report for the Atlanta race, I'm sure I can come up with something for Daytona. :thumbsup2

don't forget the pics (bathroom too;) )

ps take ur time driving, enjoy urself...life is too short:banana:

long day at work.
i miss my free time.:guilty:

went to curves after work and now home.
will finish this job assignment up at the end of the week.
friday can not come sooner.

it really is a great group of seniors, so i'm not complaining on that.
it's just this assignment has no break time except for first period.
today my lunch hour of 20 minutes was at 10 in the morning.
(eating that early is not my thing.) and then i go straight thru to the end of the school day. only 5 minutes in passing time between classes so if i have to use the rr, i have to rush........

and with this class, i keep the same room all day long. usually you have to switch rooms but this science class stays in the lab room the entire day.

i think everyone here was busy today.

MIA: ed

come show your face or we will have to hunt you down like a rabid dog.

sweets: stand your ground. if you give in to the kids now, you will end up where i am in life.
but on the other hand, no complaints on that. i enjoy my boys at home. i love to baby them.

2 of them are still job hunting, no luck in site yet. crossing fingers it will happen soon for them. 1 son i bought a ps 3 and games for on sunday.
he has been in his room playing games nonstop. that is a good thing.

watching ai tonight.
next week will be a better show for it. it drags up until that point of having 24 contestants.

mic, enjoy your mom and the sun and sand in florida.

a hiddie hiddie ho to all here.
got to run and read my emails before i have to start dinner.

be back tonight

Evening all...another rainy day til about 2:30 P.M or so, then sun came back out, cooler this evening. We went out and ran errands, with every other retiree in Florida this afternoon:eek: but we got it all done. People pulling up to Wal Mart in Caddies and Lexus and expensive suv's:confused3 You can't get near the place around here during the day...I think we should have gone out while it was raining instead of waiting for it to stop, cause I think that is what everyone else did. We picked up Long John Silver's for dinner, didn't feel like making anything so I didn't.

News from home was not good this morning, MIL is back in the hospital with congestive heart failure starting again, way too much fluid, so after spending about 9 hrs. in ER, NO beds available, she is in her room. We have been trying to call her but no answer, but did talk to family and they said she is doing pretty well. It is always something to worry with, we cannot seem to escape it.

Had bad ice storm and cold, cold temps at home, so I'm glad I'm here sitting with the windows, doors open. Guess it really was treacherous around home this morning.

Hope to get to the beach tomorrow, to try and play catch up with the sun.

Mac, hang in there, your work week will soon be over as will my time off...no matter, fun or play, time flies so quickly anymore.

mic, sending you pixie dust for mil.

i hope she improves soon and is back home before you return from your trip.

i can feel the sunshine from mic's place in florida to here!!

don't forget the pics (bathroom too;) )

ps take ur time driving, enjoy urself...life is too short:banana:

Hey, my trip reports aren't complete without at least one good bathroom pic. :thumbsup2

watching ai tonight.

Daniel went to sleep early tonight, so I might just watch some Idol too.

Was it Senior Discount day at the store? That will bring all the retirees out of the woodworks.

Sorry about the news from home. Prayers and positive thoughts for you and your MIL. :grouphug:

Mic - I am so sorry to hear about your MIL. I agree with you about dinner. Don't waste the energy making it. It's much more enjoyable when someone else cooks it.

Mac - I hear you about the free time. Hopefully, your weekends will slow down for you a little bit.

Pam - good news on the state keeping you around!!:thumbsup2

Tricia - that is awesome that you get a huge celebration like that. Enjoy it!

Keisha - I agree about the shirts. Better yet, tell him to sae his allowence and shop Ebay. He can find a few on there for less in his size I am sure.

Loribell - your shark story was hilarious.

Bob - how is the new job working out for you? Has it been a difficult adjustment?

I think I described the whole mom strike incorrectly. The strike isn't really for my kids. It's for my roomie. Who, as TVT can attest to, has not done chores for a while. Not just days, but seriously..6 weeks that his dirty laundry has sat in a basket near the laundry room. I did subtly pick the basket up and place in right in the middle of his bed.

Not worth nagging and arguing. All I hear is, "well, excuse me if I'm not on your timetable"..or other such nonsense. I didn't feel like getting into it, but that certainly doesn't mean I should have to look at it.

That is just one example of things going on here.

I hope he gets the point of the strike. He needs a wake up call somehow.

Went for limes, be back soon.

I was pretty sure I knew what the 'strike' was about Miss Sweet....I'm proud of you for taking a stand...you go girl:cool1:

Thanks for kind thoughts...I need lots of kind thoughts and prayers right now, this parents getting old business takes a toll on your feelings...it is just one thing after another, and its just part of life, but it still is hard.

Hey Ed, where did you go for the limes? Looks nice and warm wherever it was...you always go 'tropical'....that is what we love about ya

AI should finally start to get interesting now that the actual competition will start...I'm ready for it to get going

hi kurt........:hippie:

wow, i must be blonde.
i thought sweets was talking about the kids.......

well, i might be kind of right....it twas the big kid she meant after all...

I miss your free time too.

Good luck to the boys in their job searches.

Glad you are enjoying this class but I can't wait to get you back to us.

So sorry about the news from home. I hope she is okay and back home soon.

It sure is going to be hard to leave the Florida sunshine and go back to that nasty weather. Enjoy the beach tomorrow.

Loribell - your shark story was hilarious.

Thanks. I have a Grand Canyon story I need to tell sometime so you will all know what a "wonderful" mother I am!

Well then you go get him. Nothing worse than an adult that won't do their share of the work.

Went for limes, be back soon.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Is anyone doing anything today or tonight?
We aren't :sad2:
But that's fine, we never do - the restaurants are way to crowded.
Plus.....this is my night to work until 7, so it'll be way to late to go anywhere.
That's okay - I don't mind at all:)

Katie, my 4yr old, is still under the weather:sick:
The daycare called me yesterday telling me that she had a fever:guilty:
Luckily, she goes to work with me today, so she can relax there :)

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!
