TEST (part 2)

I had a kick butt workout and I got the whole house dusted:thumbsup2

I still need to run and get laundry detergent and vacuum, but I am slowly getting there. If I have to get some of the house finished tomorrow after all the running and before football practice, that will be ok too. As long as I get the upstairs done today.

For those of you that do go to the gym..do you wear panties? I don't normally because I wear the workout pants with the panty line built in. Sometimes, if I wear looser ones, I will wear workout panties, but I don't think I could ever wear a thong working out.

Mic I hope the weather clears up for you.

Pam - its Tuesday..hang in there.

Loribell - what are your plans today?

TVT - I wouldn't like to be bitten in bed at all. But a little nibbling..now that is another story.;)

Sounds like you are having a very productive day.

I am just working. Doing lots of work online and stopping in here from time to time to visit! I am getting ready to head in to the city though. Gots to go take care of some stuff.

jake the snake?;)

mic - indulge, your exercise bike is waiting for you when u get back home:goodvibes

mac - i do remember the fuss re jaws, i had purchased my 2 oldest DSs matching bright yellow/greenish bathing suits (almost the color that construction workers wear - neon was popular in the late 80's lol). Right before we left for vacation; big story in the news that certain colors attract sharks:rolleyes1 world's meanest mom made them wear them

hi bob - hope ur golf trip was great! yep, i get to haul butt up thru the snow belt on a regular basis now, such a boring drive...nothing to see once you get past Grove City....snooze. Guess Lake Rats left something to the imagination...lol.

snow day here, ice storm coming up from the south no less:confused3 , think it's skipping Ohio entirely - weird

I have a Jaws story. But you will probably all think I am nuts.:headache:

The summer that Jaws came out we went to the lake. I decided I was finally ready to learn how to ski. So dad,my uncle and a friend of ours put me out into the water, told me to put on my skis and they were going to run around the corner and check their jug lines. Now in all honesty they probably never even let me out of their site but in my mind they abandoned me in the water and were gone for 20 minutes. All I could think of the whole time was a shark coming up and getting me.

Umm, I live in Oklahoma, there aren't any sharks in our lakes. When they got back I was so scared and mad at them for abandoning me I got back in the boat and never tried to learn again until I was an adult.

Yeah, sharks in an Oklahoma lake!:sad2:

Aubrey is all better...well a little crabby yet but that is normal for her in the morning...today it was a fit because she didn't want to wear a certain pair of jeans:sad2: I have learned to ignore her and let her throw her fit and then after she is done then she will put them on and be fine.

That is a funny story lori! When I was younger we would go to my uncle's pond(it's like a lake but not big enough to be considered a lake) and we would play all sorts of games like water volleyball, ball tag, water baseball. anyway, when the ball would go away from the crowd and you had to get it i would swim so fast because i was scared that something was going to grab me and pull me under. Then one time my brother actually did try to pull me under...freaked me out!!!!

We still go there with my entire family(aunts, uncles, cousins) on the 4th of july and go boating, skiing and the kids swim.

I have been having a hard time with one of ocm's bday presents. I asked her if she recieved it yet and she said no. so i emailed VS and they are sending her a new card.:sad2: I'm sorry OCM it is taking so long.:guilty:

Has anyone ever heard of Royal Rent a car in the Miami area? I found them for our cruise and they are really cheap. I can't find anything on them. We need a 12 pass. van and alot of the car rental places don't have a big van like that and if they do they are over $100 more just for one day:scared1:

that is really funny lori !!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

i think you have the swimming snakes in your part.
that's just as scarey as sharks.

well, a toss up: cottonmouth or jaws........

pam, i just let the kids wear what they wanted to for skool.

i got sick of the crying and hollering when i would set out the clothes for them the night before.

to keep peace, i just said if you don't want to wear what you have out, wear something else.

but please, don't dress plaids with stripes........

Pam - Glad to hear Aubrey is all better!

Sounds like a fabulous place to enjoy the summer. I think I would have killed the brother over that one! Of course I only have a sister and she is even wimpier than I am I never had to worry about things like that. Ponds really freak me out though. There is no way I would get in one. I will have to find and post some pics of the fish Mikey has caught in our farm ponds and you will understand why. But maybe I shouldn't because you may not ever want to get in your uncles pond again. :scared1:
Sorry, never heard of the rental place. Good luck.

Mac - You see I am strange. I worried about sharks & alligators. Never snakes at that lake. The lake that my grandparents lived at had problems with the cottonmouths but I never heard of them at this particular lake. They are more frequent around farm ponds though. Really have to watch out for them.

I let Ally wear what she wants too. There are much bigger battles to fit. Have to pick the ones that are most important to you. I loved they were McDonalds. I don't seem to be able to get that through my oldest daughters head though. :sad2:

Oh I'm a good nibbler.....:lmao:

Well that is sucky about the gift card, but I'm sure it was the fault of VS and nothing more Pam, glad they will send out a new one...we know the gal luv's to shop at VS...:thumbsup2

Never heard of that car rental place Pam, put an SOS out on the Dis under transportation, maybe someone will know something about them and reply

Raining like crazy most of the afternoon so I've a) played on the computer b)taken a nap c) watched TV d) taken a nap e) read my book f)taken a nap...do you get the gist of my day:laughing: I can't believe how much I miss taking a nap when I feel like it during the day..

Speaking of creepy crawlies, dh chased down one of those little Florida lizards on the lanai this afternoon and put him outside...can't believe he caught it, they are lightening fast

Ahh yes, I remember those days of 'I don't want to wear those pant or that shirt'....yep, as long as they looked presentable, they could 'think' they won that battle.....;) ;)

Think I'll throw a little dinner together...

Hi Kurt! Been missing you. Hope things slow down at work so you can spend more time with us.

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all having a good evening.

Pam - I just figure it will get here when it does.

I never fight with my kids on their clothes either. It doesnt matter to me what they wear anymore. Sometime I tell Nico he might not want to wear shorts..but if he gets cold..that's on him. He'll know next time, or he wont and he'll just suffer again.;)

Right now, I am frustrated. Without getting into details, I am seriously trying to go on a strike. I don't have any idea how long it will last, but I am done with asking, begging, nagging. We'll see who gives in first.

Watching AI now. Tomorrow, I am going to be at the gym no later than 6:30am. I will post when I get a chance tomorrow. It is the start of my crazy week.

Kurt - good to see you. Hope all is well with you too.

Does anyone have any Vday plans?

Well, the thing with Aubrey is that she wants to wear skirts to school. no tights....just skirts. Any other season would be okay but since it IS winter and it IS like 10 degrees out I don't think that is even an option for her. I don't say anything on the shirts she wants and I tell her she can either wear tights with her skirts or jeans. She usually gives in and puts the jeans on.

KA--good to see you! hope things slow down for you.

I think we lost ed...maybe he is trying to find a wicked big sword or some wicked shocks for me:thumbsup2

lori--we went to Branson MO this last summer and I wouldn't get into that lake....just the thought of what could be in those waters scared me. I think I was the only one who didn't get in....well other than my parents lol

i liked about 5 of the contestants tonight.

i'm working the next two days.

my kids had this teacher when they were there. and the teacher looks the same except now he shaves his head trying to be hip with the young kids.

going to work today.
same class for today and tomorrow.

pam's favorite day is today
hump day.

Day 1 of the MOM STRIKE!!

So far, so good. I'm not nagging, or anything. All needs and requests from the kids will have to go to Lee from now on until further notice. I will play with them and be at their school functions and give them baths (I don't want to have the stinky kids in class.)

Breakfast, dinner, getting the kids to school in the morning, lunches on weekends..and all weekend chores (laundry, vacuuming, dusting) are not going to be my problem.

Wish me luck!!

Day 1 of the MOM STRIKE!!

Good luck! Let me know how it works out for you. I don't need it right now, but who knows when I may need to try it in the future.

Valentines Day... hmmm... well, tomorrow will be special breakfast for the kids (blueberry pancakes)... card exchange with each other (our cards for the kids, the kids with each other and us), plus a small box of candy for the boys. Oh, and I'll make something for dessert. I don't usually make dessert, so that'll be a special treat for everyone.

However, my husband & I are considering our trip to Daytona on Friday our Valentines. Well, it is Valentines, 10 years of being together, DH birthday, and anything else we can think of all rolled into one.

Good morning friends...OH a STRIKE...good for you...hang in there, you will win this one I'm sure...a couple days of Mom not doing Mom things will make them all rethink their attitudes...I'm on your side...hope it goes your way.

I had to choose between shows last night, so I watched Biggest Loser, saw bits of AI, but figure they will show it all again at least 10 times before its all over. Big Brother started also and I missed it, never missed one before. All these reality shows on at once...I have a couple of them taping at home, so I'll catch the important stuff.

Breakfast anyone? Thinking of just a bowl of oatmeal this morning...

Hey Kurt, keeping busy I see but glad you dropped by...we always miss our MIA's....Ed, where you hiding?

Guess they are getting ice at home, it rained here all night long and today doesn't look much better...tomorrow should clear off

RV, your Valentine's all-rolled into one day sounds fun..hope it works out

We are beyond celebrating it, but I did send my gs's cards with a little money in them they like getting cards from grandma and grandpa...
