TEST (part 2)

Oh I forgot to tell you all, I placed an order last night with the money that Pam gave me as my Kris kringle!! I will have it on the end of February, but I am sooo excited. I was able to get my butt lifting - tummy flattening jeans and yoga hot shorts, 2 sweaters, 2 long sleeve shirts, 2 short sleeve shirts, and three sleeveless shirts. Oh and 1 bra.:thumbsup2

I will post pictures when they all come in. I'm so excited!! I had to give away about 3-4 shirts (they shrunk in the dryer and my shirts barely fit as it was;) ) and my other pair of jeans have huge holes in both of the knees.

I tried to shop mostly clearence most of the shirts and sweaters were 12.99 or less. The jeans and the bra were the most expensive..but the rest was all under 20. Infact, one of the sweaters was 9.99!! I got some great deals.:cool1: I feel kind of guilty spending as much as I did on the jeans, but you know..I live in jeans and if these do what they say...I would buy three more pairs.

Evening friends....YES mac, I remember Francis the talking mule...Donald O'Conner was the star and Chill Wills was the voice of Francis...I remember them being in the army..LOL...I hadn't thought about those movies in years, thanks for the kick in the memory bank! Tonight I was watching clips from soap operas that I watched way back when, late 60's early 70's...I can't believe how the people looked and that I actually remember watching the shows then:eek: it is fun to reminise and what a great thing YouTube is..someone is getting rich off that brainstorm idea

Momma, cool on all the items you snagged and on sale too:cool1: always makes me feel better to snag some extra mileage out of a buck! Can't wait to see pics of the new wardrobe...good for you!

Stories about the kids with Tony are too funny, glad you guys had a good visit and it's nice the kids enjoy it so much, that is what memories are made of.

Everyone else enjoying their Sunday evening? Picked up some sun today and hope to get back out for more tomorrow. The real stuff is GOOD !

(I don't think you haveta post a pic of the bra! )

Pam - How is Aubrey today? Hope she is all better.

Mac - be careful out on those roads. I hope it warms up soon.

Mic - Glad the humidity went away. Love those old shows.

OCM - now what in the world did I say that made you think I was calling you unattractive???????:scared1: I am so sorry.

It really upsets me when Ally has a negative attitude. How can a 9 yo be that way already. Makes me feel like I have failed her.

Loved the Sammie stories.

Great job on the shopping. Now if I could only find some jeans that would reduce my butt!:scared1: and a few other places.

Do you really not know who Dean Martin is? He and Jerry Lewis used to do shows together all the time.

Have a great evening and terrific week everyone! Stay safe.

No need for jacket at the beach, it was gorgeous:banana: we didn't stay but a couple hours, don't want to burn to crisp first day out. Very beautiful day today and the humidity went bye-bye, so I is :cool1:

I spend some time last night watching some old clips on YouTube from the old Dean Martin show, and for you youngin's posting here, I know you don't remember way back then, but it was some funny stuff without all the profanity and nudity of today, not that there is anything wrong with that, but it was a much simpler time and I think we laughed more! It was fun watching the 'old' days.

I had such a crush on Dean Martin;) , remember watching him & the Golddiggers when i was a kid thinking it was oh-so-adult:goodvibes

glad to hear the weather is cooperating

mac - yucky weather, did it keep the crowds low-down?

ocm - :woohoo: bargin shopping is the best!

pam - how's your girl doing?

supposed to be -20 here tomorrow, hope they were talking with wind chill

:scared: yep....you get it right before i do!

Well all....another weekend has passed.... a busy one in House of Bubba, as we had his birthday party today. He was sick Saturday and Sunday...but the party started bringing him out of it....now I'm getting it :headache:

Anyhow....have a good night....tomorrow starts another week....but don't be sad it's gonna be Monday.....be happy it's gonna be another day closer to SPRING!!!

Wait, wait...

There is such a thing as "butt lifting, tummy flattening" jeans?

Where? Are they comfortable? Do they work?

Do they have butt shrinking, fat sucking ones too? If so, I'm in.

I once bought a girdle-type contraption called Nip, Tuck, and Boost. The tag proclaimed that it would basically grab all the fat from my midsection and shove it into my chest.

Yeah.

I wore it out to a club one night. After a few cocktails, I went to the restroom. I left the bathroom stall, but the girdle thing did not. :rolleyes1

Feel better.:wizard:

Wait, wait...

What a great day we had yesterday!!! :)

Stephanie did awesome with getting her ears pierced:thumbsup2 (Did I mention she was getting her ears pierced yesterday?)
She picked out nice cubic zirconia (sp?) studs, and was very brave getting them put in. She did want to sit on my lap, and she did hang on tight to my arm, but that's okay - I like the fact that she still needs her mom to feel secure:goodvibes She said her ears stung for awhile, but by the time the ice show was over, she said they had no pain anymore :thumbsup2

The ice show was one of the best I've seen:thumbsup2
It was put together wonderfully, and the coreography was fantastic - alot of fun!!! :cool1:

Then we went out to eat a Ed Debevics, which is like a 60's hamburger joint with really sarcastic servers, and our server was great - so much fun!!! Stephanie didn't know what to think of him, because she's not used to a server being so rude:eek: He was great and really deserved his tip!!!

It's still really cold here, and I'm waking up to a -3 temperature. I hate this kind of weather - it's so cold that it takes your breath away when you go outside.

Well, I better run - Monday is sheet changing day on all the beds
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Slo - that is awesome about your baby getting her ears peirced. :thumbsup2 Glad you had a fabulous time at the show.

Tricia - that is hilarious about the girdle. :rotfl: If you ever find a pair of jeans the suck the fat out of your body..please let me know. I'll buy 2 pairs. The tummy flattening is a new technology. So, I will let you know if it really works when I get them.

Barb - I promise not to wear the bra. But I have to warn you. Keisha sent me jammies from VS and I posted pics. Let's just say, I think everyone was glad I put a bra on for that one.:lmao:

Mic - I am jealous that you are getting the sun. I have been doing my tanning cream every Sunday night, but it still isnt the real thing.

Pam - how is your baby today?

TVT - The only good thing about today is that it will be over and then I dont have to work for two weeks.

Kurt - hope you had a good weekend

Bob - what did you do this weekend?

Ed - did you disappear?

Mac - are you working today?

Keisha - stay warm. -20 is COLD!!! I think they should close everything down when it gets too cold like that. It's hard to concentrate in school and at work when you are shivering.

Lori - I really don't know who that Dean person is. But..maybe it's becuase I don't know the Lewis person either. There is no hope for me. I grew up without a TV for a long time. Then in college, I gave my TV to Lee because it was just sitting in a cabinet not opened for 4 months.

I think I would be frustrated if my 9yo had that attitude too. But I'm sure it isn't because you are a bad mom. I got my piriod at 8 or 9, so it could be hormones. I was in third grade.

Does anyone else have an insanely busy week? My Wednesday and Thursday are crazy busy. I think I am going to have to get up at 6am and go to the gym both of those days.

Quit your yellin TVT, we all are up:goodvibes and I didn't have to get up early...LOL

Oh, I want some fat-sucking pants too, heck with buying 2 pair, I want one for everyday of the week.

What a girly day, getting ears pierced, and glad she was so brave. Sounds like a good day was had by all.

Speaking of older stars, I was surprised to read that Roy Schieder passed away, I remember seeing Jaws at the movies when it came out...guess I didn't think about him being 75 years old. It was such a great movie in its day, and scary. Not a good one to watch before hitting the beach;)

Going to do a little bit of cleaning today for Mom and then hit the beach, still chill in the air this morning, but supposed to hit 80. Is it around the same in Atlanta? I'm sure TVT will inform us how warm it is in sunny Orlando:thumbsup2 That is one thing I'm not looking forward to returning to, winter weather...stay warm KS, those is some cold temps:scared1:

shaking off the icicles this am, everything backed up with the skool delay

slo - awww, how sweet; soon she's be asking for every girl's best friend;) (locking posts!)

mic - saw that on the news, i though the same thing - looked good for his age...what's that off in the surf...da-da...da-da...da-da-da-da...oh, it's just flipper:lmao: . Is the water still warm in the gulf?

morning all:surfweb:

Aubrey is doing good. Still has the cough but the fever is gone. She had it up until yesterday afternoon. She wanted to go to school today so I let her and told her that if she felt yucky to have Sam(school nurse who is one of my best friends) to call me and she can come home.

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend.

I know the people you are talking about but i can't say i remember their shows. Wasn't there a talking horse called Ed or something? When I was young I would go to my gma's house and she would have those shows on nick at nite. Now you watch nick at nite and they are the shows that were on when i was a kid:scared1:

ocm-- my week is busy here as well which probably is no suprise to anyone:rolleyes: I think the only day we don't have to run is tuesday. Next week is a little better but then my weekends start getting crazy:confused3

Hope everyone has a good monday!

Good Monday Morning...

It's a beautiful day outside. Of course, I have a million things that I need to do inside... so I won't get to enjoy it much. At least the view is pretty when I pass the windows.

Have a good day everyone!

Pam, glad to hear that Aubrey is bouncing back, and that is good she wanted to go to school, but with that option if she feels badly, to call home and get to come home, good Mommy:hug:

Yes, there was Mr. Ed on tv, and guess what, I remember watching that show and not on Nick At Nite...but real television, it was on in the 60's. Mr. Ed's owner, Wilbur was played by Alan Young who did Disney voices on DuckTales and also Uncle Scrooge in Mickey's Christmas Carol...so see, everything always goes back to Disney :goodvibes

There is a cable channel here at my Mom's that shows really old tv shows, right now I'm watching Ozzie & Harriet Show, its one where Ricky & David are adults, Ricky was a handsome young guy...earlier My Little Margie was on and then some that I think were on when I was really little and I don't remember them, but have heard of them....I'm old ya know so I remember a lot of the early days of TV..didn't have all this cable and satellite stuff, we had like 3 networks, CBS, NBC and ABC, that was it, and they usually went off the air at night also around midnight or 1 a.m. OK, now I've made myself feel really old......LOL...in a way its nice to have lived back 'then', it was much simpler that's for sure.

yes, roy died at age 75 and it was 1975 when Jaws came out.
mic, you and i have good memories.

we must have remembered all the shows our parents talked about...

remember ed sullivan when he would have all the rock stars on?
sunday nights 7:00 pm :hippie:

morning to slo, and everyone i missed.
oh yea tony.........
tony, you are late.
sandy bet u up this morning.

I have heard of the movie Jaws. I haven't ever seen it.

I taught today, but now I am done for two weeks. WHOO HOO!!

Tonight I am taking Nico to football practice. It's 30 minutes each way, so that gets to be a drag. It won't be so bad though. I am going to have Julie take her valentines and write them out. I guess I will bring some crayons for Sammie. I just have to figure out how I am going to feed them all dinner.
