Home from my day in town, which turned into more then I expected...and I took back a bunch of stuff, bought more stuff, and still have some new stuff to return

I loved 'Enchanted', great movie!!

Pretty tired this evening, so I'm off to relax...........its so nice and quiet, I love it.............

hey lucy................i'm back!


had to visit my chiropracter this morning.
that 9.5 hour non stop flight was a killer on my lower back.

i swear, you get about 5 inches of leg room and if the person next to you has to get up, you have to get up first and stand in the aisle.
that's what i get for flying economy.........


and i thought the flight to the motherland was long......

our snow is melting and it should get to the 40's today. seems like a heat wave at this point.

I know what you mean. I left the house at 11 and got back home at 5:30. I did buy Ally a new bed. Then went to Walmart to buy a new sheet set. I never did make it to buy groceries, just got enough for tonight.

Lori...I hate to admit this, but I left my house at around 10 and didn't get home til 5 but I packed a lot into the day, and when you stop to try on clothes it takes time. I made a stop or 2 that weren't on my agenda either but it was nice to just leisurely poke around at Kohl's and I stopped at the Dress Barn today, I always forget about that store.

Mic--i like the dress barn too! I did go into kohl's today but it was just to return stuff...i didn't even look at things there.

lori--I bet ally is so excited to get a new bed.

ocm--hope your soccer games went well.

Noah got contacts today and thinks they are the best thing ever. Then this evening we went bowling and everyone had a great time.

Bought some new tennis shoes today and they don't hurt my foot at all i think i am going to try to take a longer walk tomorrow to see if they really help. I need to start walking again...it is driving me crazy not to do anything and i need to get in disney shape

finally, finished the 3 movies blockbuster sent us: Legend (good, could've been better); stargate-something or otherconfused: dh is a fan) & Enchanted (some belly laffs there). What else is good out there to add to my list? Anybody see American Gangster, Beowulf, No Country For Old Men or Bee Movie?

going to get a perm for 1st time in 20 years, will probably turn into a poodle, trying for the beach look...beached whale more like it

I have a hair story for you all. I took a shower yesterday morning and grabbed the first srunchy I saw to throw my hair back. My hair was soaking wet, but I had to get the kids ready and make a phone call.

The scunchy had been in my bag a while ago when my green pen burst open last summer. I even remember the pen bursting because my mom was in my car with me and we were trying to clean the ink off everything.

So, two hours laters, I pulled my hair out to have Lee say, um..your hair is green. Yes, right at the top of my head where the ponytail was, a green circle that went around the back of my hair and back up. The ink had bled right where the scrunchy was.

I washed my hair for the next 45 minutes to no avail. The ink was stuck in there. So I threw my hair back up (in a different hairclip) and drove to the first open Salon. When I took my hair to show the hairdresser, she gasped so loud I think she took all of the air out of the room. She said she was going to have to test different strands to see which color would work the best at covering the green marks.

So, I now have chunky platinum blonde highlights. I am not a huge fan of chunky highlights. I would rather have them blend into my hair naturally, but at this point, I was not in a position to make any suggestions.

They were able to get all the green out. I thanked the woman over and over and over again for taking me last minute.

I will take pictures of the scrunchy culprit as well as the new hairdo as soon as Lee gets back tonight.

Again..much like the bengay thong incident..I swear things like this only happen to me.

Good morning peeps, and so we are spread out all over the place huh? I had a notification of a post to one of them...too funny and YES...we are DARN funny people and when we get on a roll, well there is no one like us

Momma, that is awful about the green hair but glad you could get it fixed...I have one thing to say........only you that is a story for you to tell the grandkids one day

Lampshades on heads wow, haven't done that in years.....j/k.....glad you found something you like KS...are you like me, I can agonize over buying something as simple as a lamp...some things shouldn't be so hard I enjoyed 'American Gangster' we saw it at the movies in fact. Husband saw 'Beowolf' and said it was ok, not my kinda flick. He also liked 'No Country for Old Men'...so give them a try. I thought 'Enchanted' was so clever with all the Disney stuff thrown in.

I bought myself a new TV for my bedroom on Saturday...I'm lovin' it...amazing how technology has made them so slim and lightweight. It was a nightmare for me to figure out where all the plug-ins went, first I had no sound, then no color but I got it fixied, and my dvd/vcr player that wouldn't work on the old TV works great on it!! Glad I didn't ditch the machine, it is fairly new and wasn't cheap...crazy, but it just stopped working on my old TV.

KS - you get nekkid at parties???? Oh my! Sorry can't help with the movies. I only get to watch kid tv. Can't wait to see pics of the perm.

OCM - I would also say only you but I could so see that happening to me! Glad you were able to get someone to fix it yesterday. Can't wait to see the pics.

Mic - I got an email notification on the first one. I have no idea why since I didn't find you guys until late last year.

Those new tv's are something else.

It is really gloomy and rainy here today.

Lori--i heard about the storms in OK City...don't know how close you are from there...hope you are safe

ocm--that stinks about your hair. Atleast you got to go and get your hair done I bet your new hair looks great.

ks--i bet your perm will look great too! If I let my hair dry it will look like i have a perm...it's not pretty either

mic--it is amazing on how much they have made the t.v.s lighter. I can't lift our t.v. in our family room, but I vowed not to get a new one until it goes out. We have had it for 8 years i think...hopefully we will get a few more years out of it.

Pam - The tornado was North of us about 30 miles. There is a legend that there is an old Indian blessing over Tuttle protecting it from bad storms. Sometimes I swear it must be true. We have had many bad ones heading right at us and they either split and go on both sides of us then join back up or they make a turn just before they get to us and miss us all together.

The big storm in May of 99 missed my house by 3 miles. It made just enough of a turn as it got close to miss us. That thing was massive and on the ground for well over an hour. The damage it did was unbelievable. We were very fortunate.
