Good Morning all you Dissers !
Okay, here's the deal,,,in my attempt to curb my Fort homesick I have failed , so I thought "Why not do a mock Live Trip Report" for our up coming trip !
That's right, this is not a real "Live" trip report, but it sounds good in my head,
So if you would like to add too, make up, give input, insert yourself into this Trip Report then please feel free to.

Okay, so here we go.

It is now 5:AM, we loaded the buggy into the back of the truck, hooked up the camper that we have been stocking up with all our Mickey Goodies for the past month and are checking the list,
truck,tires are air'd up and gas'd up, fluids are good, buggy ready to go, camper locked down & hooked up, the fur baby in the truck & is excited as we are, COOl, YEAH BABY,,LET'S GO !!
We plan on stopping after about 1/2 way there, tak'n it easy on the way down at one of 2 of our favorite campgrounds, (they both give fresh cookies when you check in). My dilemma is do we stay at the campground where they bake fresh chocolate chip cookies for you, or do we stay at the campground that give you cookies decorated and in the shape of a car pulling a camper ???

I'll check back in tonight, see ya'll !!

Okay, I'm in. I'll live vicariously (sp?) through your "live" trip report. With regards to the cookies, I'd definitely go with the fresh baked ones. Make sure they have warm ones for ya, nothin' better. Safe travels.

Suup ya'll !!
What a gorgeous day we've had !! Perfect weather, got up to 86 and sunny all the way ! We decided to go with majority rule (Dissers know best) and went with the fresh baked cookies,,stay'n at the KOA in Forsyth GA. I spect them warm cookies will be along shortly , yeah man !!
Outta all the times we've stay'd here I have nver fish'd the little pond here at the KOA, and by golly either tonight or before we leave in the morning, I'm gonna snag a few of them swimmers !!
The ride was good, traffic not too bad, the usual rush hour slow downs, Atlanta and so on.
Reck'n breakfast will be at Cracker Barrel in the morning before we hit the road, hope ya'll are hungry ! I'm hav'n the Uncle Herschel Big Breakfast. What are ya'll gonna have ?
Man, I gotta say, it is awesome hav'n friends of the Fort coming along with us and we are SOOO looking forward to meet'n up with more friends at the Fort.
Only bout 6 more short hours and we'll be HOME !!!
I just realized, we'll be there in enough time to set up camp, hit the Tavern, take a pic on the porch AND catch Brother Bear at the campfire !
okay, maybe not all of that, but we'll sure give it the ol commando try.
Gotta run Bailey out for a while, this is her vacation too.

Fresh baked cookies My DW and I take a toaster oven and buy slice and bake cookies and then bake them in the PUP....there is NOTHING to me like fresh baked cookies at the Fort !

Actually, how could a Bass turn down fresh baked cookies....would probably make great bait...did I just give away your fishing secret weapon?

(shush) be vewy vewy quiet, sweetie is still sleep'n.
Okay, can't contain myself,got important stuff to do this morning ya know,,like drink coffee, post here, relax, then put camper back to travel mode and head to meet everyone at the CRACKER BARREL !!! And am I hungry !
Try'd my hand at fish'n the pond before bed last night, Bearikens you may have stumbled upon a new bait, can't hardly keep them cookies onna hook but the fish go bananas over them. Caught a few nice bream, of course I turned them back to ba caught another day.(like maybe on our return to Tennessee).
4mickey2, I hope (you know who) brought his big yellow Mickey slippers, I just gotta get a picture this time !
OH MAN, THIS IS IT, today we get the Fort ! I can't wait for the Disney smells, the tingle of excitement ya get when you pull onto Disney property,
the great big smile that comes across your face as you drive up to the entrance to the Fort,,,and then it happens, you make your way down the entrance,come around the curve and see the check in point and then it happens inside of you
You sit in line for your turn and then (wait for it,wait for it) she says to you
WELCOME HOME !!!
Ain't nutt'n in this world better then sharing this moment with my awesome beautiful wife !

Okay, I gotta stop that, we still got bout 6 more hours or so to go.

haha.. i take cookie dough along also. it is awesome to walk into the mh and smell fresh baked cookies. wish i was there now!

WOO HOO !!! WE MADE IT !!!
HOME SWEET HOME !!

Okay, let me back up a little,,after everyone had their Cracker Barrel specials,(except for you know who with their croissant bacon & egg) that's okay 4mickey2 , every once inna while I like something light for breakfast too. Okay, that's a lie, but Denise eats light all the time.
Got everyone on the road and managed to get past the giant Peach along the interstate, I love that peach !!It lets ya know your gett'n closer.
So along the way we passed by a travel trailer that had a BIG GREEN Mickey head in the rear window and on it read,
"To infinity & beyond, or the Fort,,Which ever comes first".
Does anyone know who that was ?? They were waving like crazy when we all drove by ! Well, I hope we see'm at the Fort.
Yup, just like I imagined it, the magical feelings started to kick in the second we hit Disney property, LOVE to see the Stink Bug billboard from a Bugs Life !! And then into the far right lane that takes us where ?? YEAH BABY ,FORT WILDERNESS !! Down the road, around the curve and there it is, Ft Wilderness, HURRY GET TO THE CHECK IN
Then we heard it, WELCOME HOME !!
Checked in, got my baby a birthday button and headed for our site, 600 loop next to the pond !! And yes, I don't care what anuone say'z the Fort does have it's own smell, AND IT'S AWESOME !!
Got set up, and was I hungry. Went to Trails End & got a Giddy Up Go Chicken, love that stuff, Mmmmm, and so do the fish. I saved some chicken shin for bait. And you'll never guess who we ran into, some friends from our neck of the woods in Tennessee !!!
Who wants to go fishing ?!?! I got the bait, cookies and fried chicken skin
It's looking like a few cocktails are in order for tonight, friends are start'n to gather. Looks like the front porch pic is gonna havta wait for another day.

I also brought my telescope, one night I'll set it up at the lake behind 300 loop and see what we can view at the Magic Kingdom.

Gonna run for the moment, still got some things to do before it gets too late. I hope to get some pics posted soon. Me, you, someone, anyone who wants , but will get some posted.
Gotta say, it was awfully good hearing that boat horn again. Really look'n forward to the Electric Boat Parade tonight !!

I would also like to add what a pleasure it is to be at the Fort with so many of our Fort friends, some from as far away as Ontario, Canada ! Now that's a love for the Fort ,
And some wonderful friends from Wisconsin, an that ain't nuttn to sneeze at either,

Great Magical Morning to all Fort friends !
First question, did anyone sides me see the small meteor shower this morning ? I saw it while walking Bailey, it was either meteors or a alien invasion .

Last night was awesome, hadda great time with all the friends, lots to reminisce about, did a looping of the campground, even hit the camp fire for a little smores taste, but the main event was the castle fireworks from the beach and the boat parade. I'll never get tired of that parade

Haven't decided what today is gonna bring, but I do know it's gonna start off here

But I do know that at some point today I'm gonna end up here with some bait anna pole,

course that may end up turning into a fish feeding experience.
We will havta go out to the grocery store and get beer, uh I mean supplies for our stay. And maybe I can talk Denise into eat'n at Millers Ale House for lunch while we're out. They have a great fish sandwich .

Gonna run, gotta go rattle a few rv's an see if anyone wants to go fish before we start the day,

WEll,w e got ourselves checked in, and settled in at the 2500 loop. With our cabin all set, it's off to the Fishin' Hole to see who we can see! we've got bacon galore (of course, we're Canadian, right?!) and a little sweet maple to soak it in.. bet those fishies would love that!

we got in the 700 loop. not my favorite but, it'll do! didn't you get to fish this mornin? i'll bring donuts tomorrow if your on the dock . we did a lot of looping today. since it's friday--we went up front to watch all the folks check in. i love seeing the excitement and let's hurry in to get set up. they try to rush taking golf carts off the trailers and then try to figure out where their site will be.

yeah-it's a good time. you think sitting on the porch by the lake is exciting.

since the canadians have the bacon---we've got brats and cheese .. we are from wisconsin you know.

Okay 4mickey2, I wasn't gonna mention the mornings expeditions catch cause it was a rather weird mix of swimmers we caught, but since you asked, here they are,
I think this one is a large mouth bass

Not quite sure what this one is,

And someone told me this fish is called "Bruce",

Reck'n we'll try fish'n a few more times while we are here.

What that you say, " they try to rush taking golf carts off the trailers and then try to figure out where their site will be", I've seen folk do that very same thing !! Isn't it funny how the Fort takes over a persons excitement, thinking and feelings .

And I do love me some canadian bacon (get it Zabnee ) and gotta have some of them fine beer brats , I'll furnish some good ol Tennessee "Jack".(after all, we are from TN.)

Back to a little of yesterdays ventures.
After we hit the grocery to fill our fridge with beer, uh I mean food, when we got back we decided just for the heck of it to see what the chances were to get a ressie doing the Segway Trail ride and low & behold there was a cancellation and we got in !!Talk about Disney Magic !!
That was awesome, got to see a few turkeys, (no deer), a couple joggers, folk crossing our path on the horse ride, AND THE GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL OUTDOORS all the way down by the lake. Course we get all that just being at the Fort, but it's still a lotta fun doing it on a glorified skate board
The main dish for supper last night was SHRIMP (of course, we're in Fla.) and washed it down with Shock Top's new for the season, Pumpkin Beer !!
The beer was okay, nutt'n really great.

WE're also RIGHT close to the 'quiet' pool, and the fence isn't up yet, so come prepared for that too!

Anyways.. The segway tour was tons of fun, I'm glad I got to join ya. There's no golf cart here, so it game me more access to view this wild world of nature 'round here at the Fort!
