I've just switched from shopping at Sainsburys to now using Tesco. I found that the use by dates in the shop at Sainsburys were often within a couple of days of running out so you could find this more of a problem with on line shopping there. Tesco's goods generally seem to have a longer fridge life so I'm happy with the switch, also I made a note of how much I was spending each week and compared it at the end of the month and in February I spent over a £100 less shopping at Tesco but buying the same stuff i've always bought. I know people have always said Sainsburys are expensive but I was surprised by how much.

I've only tried Asda's online shopping once, but wouldn't recommend it! It arrived within the timeslot but there were several items missing - some of which they hadn't charged us for as they didn't have them in stock (although I would have thought they might have offered us substitutes) but also several items they charged us for but didn't bring!! Unfortunately we didn't realise till a few days later how many things they hadn't brought, as we were going out straight after the delivery so didn't check it (not that you should have to do that anyway)

I emailed Asda about getting a refund for the items we didn't receive and got no reply. After 3 weeks I emailed again - again no reply. In the end I had to get Trading Standards in on the act to get the money back (and even then Asda wouldn't give us the money, only vouchers!)


Not recommended!

I recieved my shopping from tescos on line today I am very pleased with their service There was only one item missing from my shopping, i rang up and within a minute i had an E-Mail saying they were refunding the money to my card I also used the promo code Karen gave us.
