Hi just got off the phone with the Hilton as I wanted a quote for staying here in October. I need 2 rooms ( 2 + 2 and 2 )

I was quoted £170 B&B for 2 +2 and the same for the 2 adults by themselves. Is that the going rate for Tesco bookings.

I thought the 2 adults room would have been cheaper!!!!!

I went online last night to see about booking for next August. I wanted one family room. I intend to use my Tesco vouchers but was interested to see what the price came up as. For a triple room it was £75 for a compact Family room (larger room with bunk beds and playstation etc) it was £114 advance booking rate including breakfast.

I have now emailed them to see how I go about booking with the Tesco vouchers. Am I to inspect a different price??? If so I will be better off using the vouchers for something else and paying the £114 (which I thought was reasonable - I am sure we paid nearer £200 in NOvember 2007).

I will let you know what their reply says. The automatic response says they should reply within 24 hours.

That would be great - thanks :goodvibes

Children are free when sharing a room with adults Jackie, hence why the rooms are the same price. We also have two rooms booked for October (although on a slightly different configuration).

Doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with the price you've been quoted.

Thanks Joh - it was just on their regular site I would be £154 family room and £104 Double room with breakfast :confused3

Not sure why that is, are you comparing the right rates. I think the Tesco rate is the flexible B&B rate (or something like that)?

I thought I was Joh - will phone again tomorrow !!! Who knows I may get a totally different answer :lmao:

Jackie

I have just had my email back from Hilton. I need to put the PR20TC code in to get the rates that are applicable to the Tesco deal. Needless to say there is no availability for when I wanted to go. I don't know whether it is because it is still over a year away or because it is a Saturday night??

Anyway I can book a triple room for £75. I noticed that the rates don't include taxes so the £114 which included breakfast worked out about £130 something with the tax. We have Virgin V Room so don't need the breakfast. I think £75 is reasonable so I am going to just pay it outright so that I know it is booked and use my clubcard vouchers for something else. i see you can get a Disney Princess on Ice ticket for £6.50 in clubcard vouchers - I may just do that instead. Although the luck I am having with it - they will be sold out too! Perhaps DH and me will have to use them for a trip away on our own

Hope you get your room sorted. Let us know how you get on.

Sara

I booked a room through expedia for our trip a few weeks ago and it was 75 pounds. I am planning to book again using Tesco deals for our Jan 10 trip but it's coming up no availability, I think they have not released Tesco deals for next year

Never thought to use the code on the website :confused3

Anyway - Room for 2 on website with Tesco £138
Room for 2 when quoting tesco on phone this morning £198 :confused3

I hate when you dont get a straight answer :headache:

Hi,

was told last year that they don't release all of the Tesco rate rooms for booking until 3 months out. You may get some earlier, but most are available from 3 months. Did they go to a minimum of 2 nights as they were threatening to or did it stay at 1 night ???
