Tesco Clubcard Rewards for Hilton Hotel Gatwick

I have seen that some of you have used Tesco Clubcard rewards to book the Hilton Hotel at gatwick airport the night before you fly; We would like to do this but it says that you have to book a two night stay. My question is has it changed, if not how do you go about booking for one night using the clubcard reward?

The Hilton at Gatwick is the only Hilton that can be booked with Tesco Clubcard vouchers for just one night. You can either book over the phone, using the number on the Clubcard Deals website or (better still) book online at www.hilton.co.uk, using the code PR20TC in the 'Promotion/Offer Code' box.

Once you get your rate, divide that amount by 3 and that will tell you what value of Clubcard vouchers you need (there is a special offer at the moment, whereby if you order your vouchers by 28 February and book your stay by 14 March (stays to be completed by 31 Dec 2013), you can get 4 x the value). We always book the room first, then send off for the Deals tokens. We have just booked a double room for Friday 15 March - cost for room was £166.00. We will use £40 in Tesco Clubcard vouchers and pay the remainder in cash, which we have done before with no problems.

Once you receive your tokens from Tesco, you need to fill in your reservation number on the tokens, complete the form that comes with them and send them off to get the vouchers to pay for your hotel. It recommends you send them by Special Delivery, we always send by Recorded Delivery, that way you are covered if they go missing. Just posted ours today, cost £1.95 for 1st Class recorded.

When you check in to the Hilton, you just hand over the vouchers and Bob's your uncle

the Hilton Gatwick has some good deals at the moment..We booked a double Executive room, which includes the buffet breakfast in the restaurant and access to the Executive lounge for £124 in their sale.

Love the Executive lounge as you get free drinks and nibbles and a buffet later in the evening and continental breakfast in the morning if you haven't gone for the breakfast buffet in the restaurant.

We love to stay at the Hilton before our holiday and always use Tesco vouchers: just booked for July! But I can only see 3x the value of clubcard offer, where did you find the 4x the value offer?

Thanks for the info, unfortunately doesn't work for us, it is the first time that I have been told that the tesco clubcard offer is not available for our dates (1 night Oct 25th 2013) At least we got the free parking offer! (thanks again Wayne).

you should maybe have a look at booking direct with Hilton Gatwick as their sale is on and you can get a room on 25th October for £85 (standard double) at the moment or with buffet breakfast for £100. This often works out cheaper then the club card deal as they do it off the full price.

They haven't released the Clubcard Deals rooms for those dates yet. I know because we need one on 25th October also and I phoned to check. They said the rooms would be released around Feb/Mar time.

While I agree that the sale rooms are a good price, if it's free with Clubcard Deals, it's not really cheaper is it

Thank you so much, we were having a bit of a panic there! We are flying with Virgin on the 11.15am with V room too and after getting the fab parking deal, we really wanted free Hilton as well.

I believe that Suzanne was referring to the Monarch offer last year, whereby if you found the same parking deal cheaper than you paid with them, they would refund the full cost of parking. Many DISers were able to book with monarch, find a cheaper offer elsewhere and had the price they paid fully refunded, , meaning free parking They have since changed it so that they just refund the difference now, I believe.

Suzanne, we are on the 11.15 flight too and will also be staying at the Hilton the night before (if they ever release those Clubcard room rates). Hope we bump into you, I'm sure Daniel would love to meet Ryan too as he'll be stuck with his (boring) parents and his (boring) older sister this time Maybe we could arrange something nearer the time?

That would be great, will PM you nearer the time. I hate waiting to book rooms, it makes me nervous, although hubby found out we can't reserve our plane seats until 90 days out too! With 180 days for dining, my calendar is looking like we are obsessed.

Yes, quoted the other night and it was 189.00 for hotel plus 14 nights parking, you have option to add additional parking if needed,
