tesco clubcard experts

We convert all of our Tesco spend to BA Avios & use them to upgrade our flights.
We flew Club World to Miami last year by booking WT+ & using 25K BA Avios each to upgrade to Club.
Upgrade availability can be hard to find & the chances of getting anything to Orlando is virtually nil but if you are prepared to be flexible on dates & locations it is a great way to fly in comfort & not pay £2,500 - £3,000 each.
You can only upgrade one cabin level on BA, so if you book economy you can only upgrade to WT+.

I was another one like Cyrano who had all of their VA holidays paid for with points. We stayed at the Yacht and Beach Club with those. What sad dark days these are with no more big hauls. Remember the baby club vouchers for all of our pets?

Anyway I have now discovered the joys of Avios. We have just been to Barcelona with BA using these in the Easter school hols, cost me £90 in taxes. I paid cash for the hotel, as it wasexpensive to use my miles.

I have also discovered the joys of credit card churning too which a previous poster has mentioned.

There is blog telling you how to go about this called Head for Points.

I keep checking for availability on BA ready to pounce for the August school hols in 2014. There has been regular availability to NY and back, Las Vegas and San Fran. Not much to MCO, but you could get a cheapish internal flight from NY to MCO.

You can fly internal from a regional airport to London for free on an avios deal, we flew from Leeds to LHR to BCN.

ooh that's a really interesting idea Heatherbelle, get a cheapy internal flight once on US soil! thanks for replying everyone

I just had a look in the brochure with my vouchers and apparently you can covert £10 to £30 for Virgin Holidays or Cosmos.

I saw that too, problem for me is it has to be accommodation inclusive (whole package deal) and I tend to book a flydrive & use timeshare or it's just so much cheaper to DIY when it comes to virgin, there is a limit of £500 per person you can use as well. would be a numbers game if the £500 off per person would be cheaper than DIY, could definitely use cosmos for a med holiday :-)
