Not so much a "recommend a book" thread, more a "have you come across this author" thread! Terry Pratchett is a renowned author, a bit of a machine, who during his lifetime wrote dozens of books surrounding the mythical "Discworld" planet, supported by four elephants standing on a giant turtle swimming through space. They are class riot and have left a massive mark on society. So. Have you read any of his books? Do you have a favourite story ark? Such as Rincewind, the Three Witches or the City Watch?

I have read many of the Discworld books. Our library system had most, but not all, of them. I remember looking forward to books that included Death or Granny Weatherwax as characters.

Also, an online posting I read on the “three Terry’s”, led me to to Terry Brooks and Terry Goodkind. And Pratchett and Gaiman coauthored Good Omens, and Neil Gaiman became another author I read whatever our library had.
