Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Teresa!!! You MUST post some pictures!! Okay, maybe you have and I've already forgotten! :) That happens to me! :) I just am shocked and awed by your exercise!!! 60 minutes elliptical!! I would be dead on the floor...now I can walk for 10 miles no problem..but 15 minutes elliptical and I'm ZAPPED!!! So you don't worry about those scales...if you're able to do all that you're doing your muscles are going to BLOW you into the 150's in STYLE!!! You've worked sooo hard and come so far...you're such an inspiration and I KNOW you'll be claiming that 150's club induction! :)

Oh, a hearth room is a second living area off the kitchen (some call it a keeping room and it usually means a 2nd fireplace) we don't have one. :) Thanks for the encouragment...I know it'll happen! :)

I just LOVE seeing you go DOWN THOSE scales! :) You're flying!!! :)
Tara

Glad to hear you are feeling better! That feeling is the pits!!!!

Have a great day! :sunny:

Hope you are feeling more like yourself today. Congrats on all the exercise even though you weren't feeling well. Have a good day. :goodvibes

Thanks Tara - I appreciate your support so much. It definitely helps get me through those rough weeks :flower: I did post some pictures back a few weeks ago and I'll make sure to post some more later when I lose a few more pounds :goodvibes I really REALLY want to see those 150's next week, so I'm going to be extra good this weekend :teeth: I remember when I first started on that dreaded ellptical and not getting much more than 20 minutes on that. I love doing an hour and burning all those calories ;)

Never heard of a hearth room before... we have a family room that is off the kitchen and then a living room that is off the dining room. It's nice having that extra living space.

Thanks Jen and Wilderness :sunny:

Today has been a pretty crazy day... Woke up early this morning and headed out to the gym. I did 40 minutes on the stairmaster and 60 minutes on the treadmill.

Katie had a friend sleep over, so I needed to get home...

I've been doing laundry and cleaning up most of the day. I did take a break and watch some of the Pirates of the Caribbean (my favorite movie :earboy2: ) I did have to run out to take the cat to the vet. What a fiasco that was. Our cat HATES the car and freaked out the whole way there and back, even pooping on the way home :earseek: He's happy to be home now.

Food today has been good as usual... slimfast this morning, granola & string cheese for snacks, WW meal for lunch and lots of water. The scale this morning still said 163.5, so I'm hoping this water will be gone by tomorrow and I'll have to be good over the weekend if I want to see 159 on Tuesday.

Hi Ter,

You rock woman!

You will hit the 150's next week. Keep drinking your water to help the Whoosh fairy.

Take care,
Beth

Thanks Sunny and Beth!

Scale this morning said 162.5, so the water is finally starting to WHOOSH :goodvibes Had a good workout today, 20 minutes weights, 20 minutes stairmaster and 90 minutes on the treadmill. I probably could have walked longer, but needed to get home. Took the girls to see The Pacifier today with Vin Diesel. Very cute movie :teeth: I had 2 tootie pops and 2 100 calorie snacks at the theater.... NO popcorn :) I had my slimfast this morning and a WW meal for lunch. No sure about dinner, probably grilled chicken with veggies.

No plans this weekend except for cleaning out my garden, which I have yet to do even though flowers are starting to bloom  It amazes me how much my legs hurt after a day of gardening. :earseek: We might actually hit 70 degrees tomorrow

On our thread for my upcoming cruise, people are reporting getting their documents already :cool1: I hope we get ours in the next week, to help motivate me more :sunny:

*chanting* 159! 159! 159! 159! 159! 159! 159! 159! :sunny: :sunny:

YAY WHOOOOOSSSSHHH!!!! :cool1:

I hope you have a great day! :sunny:

Thanks Jen

Yesterday was a pretty good day, finally got my front and side gardens cleaned out and rose bushes cut down. Still need to do the backyard today since it's suppose to be 72 degrees!!! :cool1: My legs are alittle sore today :earseek:

Scale this morning said 160.5, so looks like the WHOOSHing is complete :earboy2: The way I'm going, should definitely be in the 150's by Tuesday. How exciting that day will be :goodvibes Need to be at 158 to celebrate my 50 pound clippie and get my new magnet from WW :teeth:

Tomorrow Jessica goes back to school, but Katie is still off for another week. I plan to drop Jessica off at the bus and head to the gym early. Tomorrow I will probably concentrate on cardio and working off calories for WI Tuesday. We have 32 days till we leave, so I need to get it in gear if I want to get to my goal.

Okay, off to work outside :sunny:

Go Tera! You can make it to the 150's!!! :cheer2:

72 degrees!! WOW! I was excited to hit 50!

Happy Monday! Have an awesome day! :sunny:

Thanks Jen - You'll be in the 70's soon enough :sunny:

I HATE THE SCALE... I HATE THE SCALE.... :earseek: :earseek:

Scale this morning said 161.5 I don't know what the deal with that is since I was under my points yesterday. I'm thinking the different clothes made a difference, so need to make sure I wear the lightest clothes possible tomorrow.

Workout was good today, 40 minutes ellptical and 80 minutes treadmill. Didn't walk too hard since I was still really sore from working in the yard this weekend.

Took Katie and a friend to the rec center so they could swim. I didn't swim much, but did get in the hot tub to soothe my sore legs

Food today: slimfast for breakfast, yogart, string cheese & 100 calorie wheat things for lunch, 100 calorie chips ahoy & tootie pop for dessert. Dinner was a veggie soup-in-a-cup, toast & yogart and maybe a WW ice cream for dessert. Water so far has been about 110 ounces of water. Will try and finish this last 32 ouncer and then slow down the rest of the evening.

Katie is staying at a friends tonight (she is still on spring break) so as soon as I drop Jessica off at the bus, I'm off to the gym. Hope to get 70 minutes of walking on the treadmill before my WW meeting.

I was thinking today while I was on the treadmill how obsessed I have become with the scale and with my weight loss. I know I have done such a great job so far, but I still feel "fat" sometimes and hope that I will be happy with my body soon. Right now I just have to focus on those small goals (50 pound clippie, etc...) and when I get there, I get there. I'll continue to workout hard, maybe harder and continue to watch my points with a cheat here and there. Our cruise is in 31 days and I am going to enjoy myself and not worry about indulging alittle (or alot... ;) ) When I get home, I'll get back at it and hope to reach my final goal in June.

Tomorrow I plan to take measurements and see how I've done in the past month.

Hi Tera,

Take heart! You have made sooooo much progress. Its time to put that scale back in its place!!!! I get totally consumed by its number, too. I think "feeling fat" is a negative self-talk that we will probably struggle with the rest of our lives, but we can fight it every day. Make a list of all the things that have changed in your life since losing weight (moving more freely, energy, nice clothes, etc.) and refer to it when the negative thoughts start to get you down. Enjoy what you've already accomplished. Imagine how thin you would feel if you went to bed last night at your highest weight and woke up this morning at your current weight! You'd be doing cart-wheels, right? So DO THEM :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (ok, maybe not cart-wheels, we don't want any injuries here). :rotfl:

Sunny

Thanks Sunny! I need to go back to the beginning of my journal and read how far I have come. I know these negative thoughts will come once in awhile and they are definitely less than they use to be. I know I will get there one day, but then I'll have to find something else to complain about ;)

Today's WI went pretty well... I didn't lose the 2 pounds that I would have "liked", but did lose 1.6 pounds to put me at 48.4 and a weight of 159.6

Now I haven't seen that weight in a long time and I'm thrilled. Next week I know I will be celebrating 50 pounds and claiming that new clippie. Still want to lose 9.6 pounds by the time we leave, which is only in 4 weeks. I will try and get as close as I can.

I was able to get 80 minutes on the treadmill before WI and I'll be heading off to bowling soon. Weather here is raining and windy, but I will not let it get me down. I'll try and update my journal later...

:flower: :cloud9: :flower: Tera has left the 160's behind!! :flower: :cloud9: :flower:

Warm congratulations on all you've accomplished!! You're doing a great job with steady losses. You inspire me with your exercise!! WOW!!!!!!

You're going to look GREAT on that cruise!!! :cloud9:

Thanks Doe! I was so excited to see that 159 after so many years. Can't imagine how happy I will be when I see 149 :goodvibes :goodvibes

I took my measurements today and it's nice to see that the inches are still coming off.

Chest 34.5 (down 4.5" total)
Waist 30.5 (down 7 " total)
Hips 40.5 (down 7" total)
Outer thigh 43 (down 7" total)
Thigh 24.5 (down 4.5 " total)
Calf 14" was 15(down 1")
Arm 12 (down 2" total)

Down 33 inches total!!!

It amazes me that my waist and hips were 7 inches BIGGER :earseek:

I look forward to when my Hips and Outer Thighs are under 40 inches. Hopefully by next month when I do my measurements again.

You've moved to the 150s!!!!! Congratulations. Save a space for me :earboy2:

Your progress is amazing!

Sunny

Awesome Tera!!!! You'll be breezing right through those 150's!!!! :goodvibes

Way to go on those measurements too!!!! You are my hero!!!

Gail

I second what Sunny said, save a spot for me in the 150's! You have done awesome. Your measurements are impressive. Good for you!

:cool1: :cool1: Congratulations Tera!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Not only are you in the 150's, but you have lost some major inches. :earseek: :earseek: You are ging to look fabulous on that cruise. :smooth: I can't believe that you leave in a month. I am so excited for you.

Keep up the phenomenal work,
Beth

Thanks Everyone!!!

Sunny & Wilderness - Plenty of room in the 150's for both of you ;)

Today has been busy... gym this morning and did 30 minutes weights, 30 minutes stairmaster and 60 minutes treadmill. My Dad came over so I could cut his hair and then spent the rest of the day cleaning my house. It was nice getting it all done, including the laundry. We're having the neighbors over Friday for Happy Hour, so I'm glad to be done with all that. Food today was good except for dinner. Slimfast for breakfast, string cheese for snack, lean cuisine for lunch and 2 WW carrot cakes for dessert. We have a new hamburger joint close to the house, so we went there for dinner. I had a grilled tuna sandwich with fries and a banana shake. The only good thing was the shake was made with non-fat yogart  I'm not too worried about it since I had plenty of points left over, but I know the sodium intake, especially with the fries is high, so extra water tonight and all day tomorrow. I'm planning on just cardio tomorrow morning, so that should help.

I'm going to continue to workout hard and keep within my points (most of the time ;) ) and shoot for a 157 WI next week. Seems to help when I focus on those little goals and then next thing you know, 10 pounds are gone :teeth: We leave in 29 days for our trip
