tequilla bar

Was wondering what is offered at the new tequilla bar in Mexico. Is it tequilla shooters and margaritas - do they serve nachos, etc. Also can you bring children there? any pictures?? thanx

Was just there in March.. its pretty cool inside! We saw some children there. my dad had a tequila flight and my mom and I tried a margarita one. We had some nachos too which were excellent!

The tequila bar is very nice but very small. Not much in the way of tables/seating The quacamole and tostadas were very good. The drinks were outstanding.

I only stopped in and grabbed a margarita to go (the avocado marg - oh my word was it good!). I did see some munchies, and did they ever have quite the rap sheet of tequilas! Skip the margarita kiosk outside Mexico and go right in for this, it's great.

Very, very much looking forward to stopping here next month

Yes! We've been calling it the "Guacarita"! It was EXCELLENT.

We didn't eat, but there were some tables and the apps looked yummy.

The margharitas in the new place are sooo much stronger then the ones outside at the stand. They are a few $$ more but worth it. The bartender was able to make any of them on the menu frozen if you prefer.

depending on time of day/crowd, it can get a tad rowdy in there

check it before you bring the kiddos in, it is a bar

The specialty margaritas are somewhat pricey, but they are fairly strong and mixed very well. MUCH better than the frozen slushie stuff sold at the stand outside the pavilion.

We spent so much time here on my last vacation (which I just got home from) that by the end we were scheming up ways to live in the Ditch! Excellent Ritas, about $12.50 each, but very, VERY worth it. They are all made with fresh lime juice, fruit purees, and (in my case- I loved the jalepeno one & avocado one) fresh veggies. The salt around the rim was rose hibiscus salt. We never get salt on our Ritas...but we do in the Ditch! The food was OUTSTANDINg- really fresh, we had crab tostadas & shrimp ceviche- TWICE. It was that good, we had to go back for more. Here are some pics (witghout the salt, from our first night when we didn't know better-

You can bring children there. You can order nonalcoholic beverages for them. Note that there is very little seating, no entertainment for children, barely room for strollers, and the regular customers tend to get a little...happy.

Mine too! The bartenders are awesome. The stuff you call Bloody Mary mix is what they call Sangrita. I love the stuff, too. And I could live on the shrimp ceviche.

Nope, sorry, they don't take the dining plan.
