I am so happy that I was able to ADR at the Teppenyaki at the Japan Pavillion finally!!! When I called the Disney Dining today, the CM gladly told me that if I will be interested to make ADR for Teppenyaki. The restaurant is taking ADR after 8/20. Construction is ahead of schedules

I didn't realize they were under construction. This is one of my favorite places to eat!! We ate there in 05 and 06. We're trying not to go there in Nov but it's so hard resist!!

Thank you sooooo much for posting this. Teppenyaki was a must do for my family and they were scheduled to be closed our entire trip. I called this morning and was able to get a 1:30 lunch on 8/21- it's the first day they are accepting ADR's and the day we leave! Not that I'm happy about leaving but it's a really nice way to end the vacation.

OMG!! Thanks for posting this..I have been having MAJOR anxiety over this as it it is one of our FAVORITE TS. We have ADR's for 8/26 and I literally was freaking out that we would have to change it. DH WILL BE SO HAPPY!!!

I don't remember when the construction was scheduled to be done. But when I made my ADRs a month ago I was able to book Teppenyaki for 9-1 at 6pm. I ate there on a visit in 2003 and loved it.

Well, those that are going to be there the first day open need to get pictures of it post renovation so that we can all be jealous.

Do restaurants often do a soft opening? How would we know if they do? If they do, when can you call for ADRs? Or is the point of it being a soft opening so that there arn't ADRs and they only have random walk-ups?

I was thinking of changing my dinner ressie here, I never searched for reviews about Teppanyaki and I'm glad a lot of people liked it so I guess i'll keep my ressie (Its for Oct.) My family loves Japanese foods.

Well..from one of the podcasts (I can't remember if it was last week or the week before. It was the one where Pete goes off on his Nine Dragons rant) they said that the sushi restaraunt was being expanded at the expense of something else but I don't think the store is being touched at all.

Definitely! I've heard rumors that there might be some major changes. I hope it's not much different-just bigger restrooms!

If I remember correctly one of the restaraunts is going away to give the Sushi bar more room. I don't think it was Kiku but I could be wrong.
