Forgive my non-knowledge, but is this an okay place to take kids (ie, easy?).

I have a 3 and 1 year old and would need a high chair for the baby....aren't the tables rather high? I've only been there once and it was quite a few years ago (before kids, and after liquor ;) )

Seems like they would be totally entertained.

Thanks for any thoughts you can give.

My dd had her first dinner there when she was 4, and loved it! So much in fact, that when we were planning this year's birthday trip, she specifically asked to eat there. I think they'll have a great time! Sorry I can't help more with the seating question, the tables are a little high, but I think they might have boosters? Not sure about high chairs though.

I don't know if it has changed since Oct., but I did not find them to be very accomadating with the kids on the dining plan. (Mine are 6 and up - and I'm not sure about the booster seats either....) but they had their own way of interpreting the dining plan. Kids could not order an appetizer or dessert. They could only get a kids meal with a pre-determined dessert. When I complained that the brochure clearly stated that kids could get an appetizer with their TS meal - the waitress told me they are not owed by Disney, that they only (cooperate with the dining plan, and that was the way they do it ther pretty much like it or not. I'm sure the small print has been revised 500 times since then, but even though it was an ok meal, my kids weren't happy because there were only like 2 kids choices at the time and it was nothing they liked. I was annoyed.

Teppanyaki is a great place to take kids!:thumbsup2 I am sure the high chairs they have are just right for little ones. In fact, I really wanted to go there for our trip next month yet since they only seat 8 to a table, our party of nine would not work. Book it! Enjoy! And have a magical adventure!:thumbsup2

Yikes! I made reservation for a party of 9 and they never mentioned we would not be seated together. They told me that HDDR only seats 8 but never mentioned Teppanyaki. I guess I had better call make and make sure they seat us as 4 and 5 rather than some other odd combination. Thanks for posting that information.

Took our daughter there when she was only 3 and she was fine. The only thing I'd warn you about is that the table gets really hot because they cook on it. Make sure the little one can't reach out and touch the grilling surface.

When we went, there was a table with 9 people but I think 2 or 3 of them were children.

Our party is 5 adults and 4 kids so maybe that is why they didn't mention splitting us up. I'm sure whatever happens we'll still have fun but it would be nice to be together. Thanks for letting me know.

They definitely have high chairs and they seat the littlest kids at the ends of the table. When my kids were smaller and fell asleep in their stroller, we were even allowed to wheel the stroller in and let the nap continue. :thumbsup2 That makes for a non stressed meal for Mom and Dad!! There is no fire for the kids to be afraid of, but as already stated the tables do get hot. I would consider this restaurant kid-friendly! Haven't been there on the DDP so I can comment on that.
