Since they are cooking the food right there, are they preparing it to your specifications? Or just cooking food for everyone, the way it's listed on the menu?

If we could tell them which ingredients we like and dislike, I think this might be a fun restaurant for my family

Please share your experiences. thanks! :)

We eat at Teppanyaki everytime we go to WDW and we love it. I am sure that if you told them for example that you don't like onions then they would leave out the onions. Have Fun.

They are very accomodating. They will fix it the way you like.

I am slightly allergic to mushrooms. It's not a life threatening allergy by any means. Mushrooms come with the meal. I said no thanks and our chef got a concerned look on his face. So, I told him I was allergic. He about had a panic attack, I swear! He was really concerned that I was going to get sick and wanted to cook me an entire new meal. I had to explain it wasn't life threatening or really any big deal. It took awhile for him to believe me.

This is a fantastic restaurant! I love Japanese food and the atmosphere is great! :)

We do teppanyaki all the time and we've never had trouble with special requests! They ask how you want your steak done, some will ask if you want garlic, I usually ask for no mushrooms, but extra zucchini. I've never had a problem at any restaurant with this.

Never met a teppanyaki chef I didn't love!

Thanks for the replies :) I think this will be a great restaurant for my family of "pickey eaters" since we'll be able to tell the chef "no mushrooms" "no onions" etc :)

I read that the prices have recently went up and that the prices on the menus at allears.net isn't correct. Does anyone know what the prices are at lunch time. Also is it best to make a PS for lunch here?
