The good news is.....we just booked our trip for Aug 17 thru 24, to take advantage of the free DDP! :cool1:

The bad news.....no ADRs for Le Cellier on any day of our trip!!! :sad2:

We made an ADR for Teppanyaki but DF thinks Yacht Club Steakhouse would be a better choice. (We are both carnivores, so a good steak can't go wrong!)

I don't mind spending the 2 TS for a better meal. Any opinions? Is YCS really better?

Teppanyaki has great food, but if your looking for more of a steak house stick w/ the YC... Teppanyaki has great sushi and the atmosphere is so cute.

We ate at both last fall and Teppanyaki is just like any other Japanese steakhouse. It was very good and plenty of food. The Yachtsman Steakhouse was really nice. I thought it was worth the 2TS. The filet mignon was excellent and at that time they had filet mignon and lobster tail on the menu which we had and it was great. It isn't on the menu on allears so I guess they chaned it. We had shrimp cocktail which was excellent and split the dessert sampler which was really good too. I think it is a much nicer restaurant.

I vote for Yachtsman Steakhouse .. hands down!

Teppanyaki is no better then any Japanese steakhouse you can find in any town in the US.

YACHTS CLUB! They are second best to Le Cellier! Teppanyaki is like Benihana and you can get that anywhere.

DD and her DBF just returned from their senior trip to WDW. Since they were travelling with a group of ten they wanted to have one nice meal for just the two of them. DBF loves Japanese so they chose Teppanyaki DBF thought the food was just okay (DD just had something plain) but their meal was spoiled by the atmosphere at their table. They were seated with two parties of tired cranky people who argued and complained throughout the meal. Made it very hard for DD and DBF to enjoy their special dinner out!

I cant speak for Teppanyaki, but IMO, YSH beats out Le Cellier hands down.

Le Cellier was good, but nothing struck me as WOW! Everything at YSH is amazing...the 3 times we have been. I would now have a hard time going back to Le Cellier after trying YSH.

Another vote for Yachtsman Steakhouse. We ate at both during our April trip, Teppanyaki with the kids and Yachtsman both dh and I, and if you don't mind spending the 2 credits there is no comparison. We liked Teppanyaki but really had a fabulous meal at Yachtsman, and it is just a more relaxing meal with a completely different feel than eating at Teppanyaki. And I don't even eat meat! I had a lobster tail, but my dh said his steak was excellent.

:thumbsup2 Yachtsmen Steakhouse is a must do, we like Teppenyaki, but wasn't really impressed with it.

I'd have to say YCS, also. Our Teppanyaki experience was good: enjoyed the food, and we had really nice tablemates (we all sat there talking for 40 minutes after the bills were paid). But YCS has been very good to us. It was our first dinner on our honeymoon :bride: :groom: The steaks are good, and DW devoured some tasty ribs there in 2001. The CM couldn't believe she could pick them so clean while only using a knife and fork (she decided not to pick them up and get messy). :lmao:

Teppanyaki is just like any other Japanese steakhouse

It's just like any other Japanese steakhouse except the food isn't as good. I have eaten at many such restaurants and Teppanyaki was by far the worst.

I would definately go with the Yacht Club.

Yachtsman hands down! I've never had a better steak than at Yachtsman, and if you like bernaise sauce, try it there. I love filet with bernaise and have ordered it several hundred times over the years, but the bernaise at Yachtsman was so good it almost made me cry. lol

YFI: Yachtsman has a business casual dress code, if that makes any difference in your plans.
