Teppanyaki is it closed?

I was trying to make ADR for Teppanyaki, some CM say it is closed and some are not sure when it will open. Does anyone know what is going on with Teppanyaki?

Restaurant Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki, as well as the other restaurants above the Mitsukoshi department store, will be closed through mid-late August, I don't remember the exact date. They are refurbishing the location for your enjoyment.

Not only the are refurbishing it, they are expanding it. If you out on deck that wraps around part of the restaurant and walk to the fron and go the far end you can see the land cleared. You can't see anything from the ground though.

I discovered this when I was sitting in the lounge and overheard the GM of the restaurants mentioned to some winery representatives

I believe it is scheduled to reopen on August 26 -- the day after we return home from our WDW vacation. Teppanyaki is our favorite!

Definitely shut down for rehab. I didn't realize they were expanding it, but it's one of my favorites!

I read on mouseplanet that reservations are now being taken for Aug 20 and on. They are allegedly ahead of schedule with the renovations. Best bet would be to check with Disney dining (though that doesn't necessarily guarantee accurate info, they would at least know if you could book it on that date)

Definantly is not closing as it is the #3 restaurant in Epcot only behind Coral Reef and Le Cellier in popularity. It's expanding and modernizing through a major rebuilding of the entire pavillion is all.

I am so glad to read these reviews. We are going for the first time in September and I can't wait. We are surprising the kids with a new restaurant for a change!
