Just read on another board that Teppanyaki will be closed in Jan. for rehab and will probably be closed until May. :sad2: Need suggestions for a dinner dining replacement in Epcot. :confused3 Have to make ADR's this week.

Current eating plan:
Breakfast: CP and PSB
Lunch: 50's
Dinner: GF Cafe, 'Ohanas, Boma, and LeCellier

Curious about thoughts on Coral Reef, Le Chefs, and the restaurants at Italy and Morrocco, but open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks! :sunny:

That was one of the few places my son wanted to return to during our next trip. :sad2:

Oh well, back to the drawing board. :surfweb:

Coral Reef and Chefs de France are both borderline signature restaurants in my book, among the best restaurants at WDW. Marrakesh is a wonderful experience, for folks with adventurous tastes. Alfredo's remains the only WDW that we've never dined at, due to the consistently bad reviews since the day it opened.

Put the Boardwalk area restaurants into consideration...they are a short walk out Epcot. Spoodles in pretty good and Cape May has a seafood buffet....

OK I'm officially depressed. We eat several meals there and I do several more small meals in the bar area on our trips. It's our version of "comfort" food I guess. Did it sound like all the eating places in Japan would be closed or just Teppanyaki?

We held off on Alfredo's for the same reason. Finally, two years ago we tried it and fell madly in love with the food and the atmosphere. IMHO the bad reviews were from people who are used to Kraft macaroni and cheese. :p

I dunno; I'm typically very cynical about reviews. I advocate strongly getting to know the members of our community, and then, using what you know about with whom you share sensibilities and tastes, deciding which reviews to believe and which to discount. The consistent bad reviews over the years regarding Alfredo's have come from many, including some folks who's judgement I trust greatly.

I am Italian, Boston Italian, and I think Alfredo's for dinner was quite good. Just wanted you to know Bicker...if No. 9 Park was a 10, I would give them at least a 7....they had fun entertainment and our waiter was very speedy with the service. We did not rush, but he was right there taking care of what we needed..

Does Teppanyaki closing affect the other Japanese food places, or are they separate? How about the bar?

I'm wondering the same thing. Am hoping someone will know.

Can you tell me where you saw this restaurant will be closed in Jan.? We were looking forward to this. Thanks.

Called Disney Dining and asked about Teppanyaki today. The CM confirmed that Teppanyaki will be closed from Jan. 15 - May 25.
