I just read on another post that someone waited 1hr & 30 min to be seated. Have other people found TE to be really slow? I don't want to spend 2 1/2 hours eating my TS lunch. If it is that slow I might need to look into a new ressie. TIA

we had a 7:30 res and were seated at 7:45 so the wait for that was not bad at all. the service there is kind of slow. i think our total time once we got seated was about 90 mins to eat dinner from start to finish. the food was very good and we think that we would go back there again.
We've only been once so far, but we didn't wait long. Maybe 15 minutes? It was a long dinner once seated. Probably an hour and a half as another poster said.
We have been there twice and our maximum wait time was about 10 minutes. Maybe it was peak season or food and wine; even during free dining last year it was a maxium of 15 minutes.
we had res for dinner in July and i don't think we waited more then 20 - 30 minutes.
we tend to treat our table services more like shows - some of them actually are as we tend to do charactor meals or actual show meals
i'm not sure what makes one day have a longer wait then another since they stager the rooms and make you share tables with others to make up the 8 seats. it's not the same as waiting for a table for 5 - they just add 3 and off you go

It took us about 20 minutes to get our seat for dinner last time we went. The tables can't be turned over until all the different parties at the group have finished and left...and there were a few tables around us that people were sitting there after their dessert and ordering more drinks and talking (not that that is a bad thing to do)...so I guess that would account for the longer wait times too.
1) On any given day and any given time of day
. . . anywhere the wait can be short
. . . anywhere the wait can be medium
. . . anywhere the wait can be long
2) Best bets for short wait times
. . . go toward the beginning of the meal period
. . . go during parades (except Tony's and Yak&Yeti)
3) Best bets for long waits
. . . go toward the 2/3 mark of the meal period
. . . go just before fireworks (if eatery has a view)
4) Other than the above hints, it is pretty much up to luck.
