How many people can sit at one table at Teppan Edo? I'll be going with at least 8 or 9 people maybe more and i want to make sure we can all fit at one table. thanks in advance!

Also, any recommendations on what to order?

Yes - We just ate there in April and they squeezed in a ninth chair to accomodate our party of 5 along with another party of 4. I wish they wouldn't do that with two separate parties... I can understand if one party is nine, but it was very tight. I practially had to climb over the back of my chair to get out of my seat.

We had 7 adults and 3 kids and we all were able to get one table. It was very tight but we didn't want to be seperated.

I was going to say Nine...

Last visit (May 14th 2010) it was a fam of 3...skipped seat...DS18, myself and an Aunt with her neice. I think fam of 3 had 2 'empty' seats on either side....

We had a great time. I usually order the Steak & Shrimp... I LOVE the scallops...the sauces are awesome!

The mushrooms are Heavenly ! The "Niece" sitting next to me (met her during lunch) had the chef put mushrooms on her plate...but after the meal over said she didn't like/didn't eat mushrooms...

I almost asked her to give them to me !! LOL:lmao:

Oh well - something to think about if you have "food dislikes".... why allow them to give you a food item if you plan to throw it away ? Tell them not to put it on your plate...and it will be given to others at the table...

Hugs,
Mary

I want to throw out my feelings about Teppan Edo. My family loves hibachi style restaurants...good ones. We have one in town, but we never go there because it is a very poor quality compared to the one that we visit in a nearby city several times a year. With that, I hesitated to book Teppan Edo since it was something we were familiar with and I wanted to do something different with our Disney dining. Last year, the husband talked me into it and we had one of the best dining experiences of our trip there. We did lunch, and it made a perfect break from the parks and the heat. This year, I didn't book it because we had some other places we wanted to try. Last night, we were talking about our upcoming trip, and I decided that I made a huge mistake not booking TE...so I got online and booked a lunch reservation! I think this is going to be one of our traditional places from now on.

The steak and shrimp is awesome!

We were six and there were 4 other people at our table. Our Table was all the way on the back off to the side.

We had a Grand Gathering last week and ate at TE. We had 2 tables of 10. Some were kids, however. We were pretty tightly squeezed in there, but it worked. I had the filet mignon, and it was fantastic!

We had 9 at our table recently. But of the 9, 5 were kids. I can tell you with 9 people, it was a tight squeeze, but doable. We had to put one kid on a corner (which was good since we were worried about her touching the cooktop).

Thank you everyone for your replys! I'll be down there with a total of 15 people but i know that 5 of them def wont be joining us at Teppan Edo. Wanted to make sure at least 8 or 9 of the rest of us could sit with each other, now i wont have to worry. I'm very excited to try it, im thinking about doing the steak :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear such good comments about TE. My 12 year old daughter and I decided to book it for an upcoming January trip. We have a lot of character meals booked, and I wasn't sure if she would appreciate this. I also wasn't sure if TE would be better, or Tokyo Dining. Any comments?:lovestruc
