Teppan Edo Review

Okay and 2 more comments:
#1 - They do not have fried rice because thats a chinese dish, not japanese.
#2 - Youd be surprised how many times a Japanese person bows everyday.

Being a Chinese, I have to clarify that the fried rice is so not Chinese!:rotfl:

:goodvibes When they bow, are you supposed to bow back?????

I am not from Japan, but have been their and studied Japanese for years. In their rule, yes, you definitely should.

However, I don't think it will be a problem if you don't since this is America.....

We have a reservation in March (hopefully they will be back on the Dining Plan by then). However, I have a very picky 8 year old who will only eat the rice. Do you think they would make him a grilled cheese or should I get him one somewhere else and let him eat it before we go into the restaurant?

I ate there on Sunday night. I thought it was good, but not exceptional. I've eaten in better hibachi style restaurants that include more with the meal and they prepare it a little more flavorful. I do agree on the bowing! Tons of it! And, I got lots of giggles when I said "Arigato"

My DS (9) did enjoy it too. There were 2 other children at our table from families not with ours. They were both 5. They enjoyed the show too!

I asked if this was a typical type of restaurant in Japan and I was told that it is really an American thing.

Thanks for the fun review. We've eaten at Teppanyaki so this sound very similar and equally positive. I'll share this with DD and DSiL and DGS ,,, this ill be their first time at a Japanese steakhouse.
