Our daughter has migraines that are triggered/exacerbated by high-salt content foods like soy sauce. Does anyone know if they offer a low sodium soy sauce at Teppan Edo? Trying to figure out how to avoid headaches if we decide to eat there.

Thanks

I have migraines and allergies etc, and I always eat there with no problems. This is the soy sauce (it's actually Tamari sauce which is less salty and less fermented and contains less to no wheat content) they served us as recent as end of last month

They are very good with accommodating health needs/allergies/etc so if you are still hesistant I would talk to the manager/chef.

Have fun and enjoy. Teppan Edo is our fave Disney TS!

The GF soy sauce actually contains almost the same sodium content as regular soy sauce at 960 mg per Tbsp. Kikkoman low sodium soy sauce is 575 mg per Tbsp. The Tamari GF sauce is 980 mg per Tbsp.

I am a chronic migraine sufferer and for me the fermented soy is the primary issue for me with migraines, not the salt. I frequently order my meal without soy sauce at local hibachi place, and have done the same at Teppan Edo although it has been a few years since I have eaten there. Then I get the low sodium soy sauce and add just a tiny bit to my portion for flavor.

Thanks much for the response. We may go the "no soy sauce" route and stick with the dips instead, or order something that isn't hibachi.

If you want something that's not hibachi then you want the other side of the restaurant there in Japan which is "Tokyo Dining"
