Exactly what the title asks :)

We are also doing other character dining (CRT, CP, CM) so the character experience is just a bonus. I just want some good food and a good atmosphere. Other suggestions for Epcot are welcome :) Le Cellier is all booked (I've been trying daily for a month now with no luck :( )

If you are JUST going for the food, TE. I think the food at Askershus is awful (and I lived in Germany for several years where the food is quite similar).

As for other suggestions, I guess it just depends on what type of food you like. As my earier comment suggests, I'm partial to German food so I'd say that...LOL!. Rose and Crown is good (and I think it's as traditional UK as you can get in Disney) as are lots of the other WS places. Was not impressed AT ALL with Chefs de France, jmo.

TE is one of our favorites in Epcot - great food and great/fun atmosphere

When we went in August, we did the Princess breakfast at Akershus. We really enjoyed it. The buffet was great and the personalized attention we received from each Princess was awesome. I feel like Japanese/Chinese cuisine is something that is readily assessable when we're at home so we like to do things that we can only do in Disney. Good luck!:goodvibes

Teppan Edo is always a must on any trip to Epcot. We always have a great time interacting with the chef's and the other people at our table, the meal is outstanding and the restaurent is beautiful.
:goodvibes

Teppan Edo gets my vote. The food at the Princess Storybook Dining is so yucky!!! JMHO

Looks like you're taking a 3 year old? In that case - even though you already have CRT - I'd say Akershus. Teppan Edo is really good for just a little bit older child (say 5), but I don't think a 3 year old would enjoy it as much.

Teppan Edo is a must do for us on every trip.
The food at Akerhaus does not appeal to us

Teppan Edo would be my pick, especially if you have other character dining already booked.

The wife and I loved teppan edo. We have a few resturants here like it but it is one of our fav. and my little girl who is 3 in april loves the show.

I just got back from my trip today and I would HIGHLY recommend Akershus. The character interaction was great, the cold bar was good and I honestly had one of the best pork chops I have ever had there.

Based on food and the fact that you have other character meals, I'd pick Teppan Edo.

Akershus BY FAR! Depending I suppose on where you are from. Here you can't swing a stick without hitting a Japanese steakhouse. And frankly I've seen better shows around here, the food is just as good, there is way more of it here than at TE, and it's cheaper. I am a Japanese food LOVER (we eat it at least once a week) and TE disappointed me. I mean it wasn't bad, it just wasn't any better than what we have here and there was less of it for more money.

Akershus was the best breakfast we have had on property. We will be dining there for dinner in 7 weeks!
