Hi all,

We are a group of 10. When I called to make ADRs, the CM asked the size of the party and what times I was interested in. I gave her the range of times we hoped for. She responded with "if you go with 4pm, you can all be seated together". (I had this comment for several other ADRs we made at other places as well...but the times varied.)
Now I'm reading that Teppan Edo can only seat 8 together at the most. Is that still true? Has anybody eaten there with a group larger than 8? How were you seated?
Thanks!
Jill

we had a party of 12 2 summer ago and what they did was 8 of us were in one table and across from us they put the other 4, so we can still communicate wtih them across and we were lucky that no one else seated wtih the other 4 because we were the 1st ones there. I think they were nice enough not to add more people because they were not as busy.

i think the CM may mean they will do the same and spread the party out for 2 tables sitting across from each other, but it does not guareenteed that other people may sit with the party of 2 across from you.

When we were there Sept '06 we three were seated with a family of six (grandparents, two elementary age kids, and the kids parents). We noticed that the hostess seemed a little upset and almost hostile to the other family, but didn't think much of it. My mom, ex, and I were squeezed onto the end of the table (really my mom and ex each had just a corner). The little 7/8 y/o little girl spent most of the meal on grandma's lap. As we were walking out after the meal, we were laughing and I made a comment about the close quarters. The grandmother, laughed and said that was her fault. She had just called to make an ADR that morning, but couldn't get one for six people, so called back and made one for four (not counting the kids). She said she just assumed they would go ahead and seat them at a table by themselves and felt really sorry for us when they didn't. We nine were really squeezed at that table. No way would ten people have fit.
