Teppan Edo Chicken

Crazy question...Is tempura chicken just breaded and fried chicken. Could it pass as "Chicken Fingers" for my kids?

Otherwise, do they serve anything kid friendly for picky eaters?

Took our daughter to Teppan Edo last week - the kids dinner of chicken with noodles is the fat round noodles with their grilled chicken and grilled veggies, in a bit of soy sauce. Very simple. My daughter loved it. She got a drink and a regular ice cream sundae for dessert.

Sounds yummy! However, my son wouldn't eat grilled chicken if that were the only thing on the menu. Hoping that there would be something he would eat!

It was yummy indeed! Such a neat experience! Our chef really did a great job of playing with/entertaining our daughter as she was the only child at our table.

I'm not sure about the rest of the menu, sorry!

My picky eater would not consider tempura chicken (which is battered, not breaded) to be the same as chicken fingers.

Hmmm...my picky eater happens to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE steamed broccoli. I wonder if they would just serve him that (without the other veggies). He could eat that and the dessert, and if he's still hungry, we could grab him something later at the park.

Or, I wonder if I could feed him before we go in and he just wouldn't eat inside the restaurant. We could just buy him a dessert...would that be acceptable?

The kids dessert is now a prepackaged fruit cup -- like the Dole ones you can buy at the grocery store for lunchboxes. From the most recent reviews I've read there are no other options for kids (if you're on the DDP, if you want to pay OOP you can get whatever dessert you want, though there isn't much on Teppan Edo's dessert menu for picky eaters).

Maybe you could feed him some CS chicken strips in advance so he isn't really hungry? Or just choose a different restaurant?
