Teppan Edo before or after Fantasmic?

My boys love to the Fantasmic show at MGM. For our next trip, they will have it on for the night of Jan 24 and 25. They also want to try Teppan Edo.

So I am trying to plan a day that includes MGM and Teppan Edo. How long does it take to go from Teppan Edo to MGM? What is the best way to get there? I am trying to decide if I should have an early dinner reservation and go back to MGM after dinner or just plan on a late dinner at Teppan Edo.

We will stay at the Beach Club without rental car.

Thank you so much for your help.

I would likely give myself an hour to get between. It may not take that long but you've got to get in and out of security and ticket lines and get through the park, plus travel time by boat or on foot (which takes 15-30 minutes on average). If you want a seat at Fantasmic, I might give myself even more time so you're there earlier.

If the show is at 7pm, I think a 5pm reservation might by pushing it. It takes awhile to eat there, if you even get in on time, and trekking back and forth. Doing a later reservation might be an little less hectic.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think it would be easier to go after the show also. We will also only have to travel one way. I think the show starts at 7pm. It should end by 7:30. Should we be able to get to Teppen Edo by 8:30?

Should I take the boat to Beach Club then to International Gateway? Or Bus from MGM to Epcot? Is that the same boat that goes to MGM, Epcot and Beach Club? Or do we have to transfer somewhere?

Thanks again

I think you'll make it by 830.

You can take the boat, it'll eventually get you to International Gateway, but I do think it stops at resorts on the way (and therefore slower). I can't remember exactly.

You can walk between the two parks, I think it's a 15 minute walk? If you get short on time - you could always play it by ear.
