Teppan Edo Allergy Question

Okay, so I've had a shellfish allergy for the last 20 plus years. It's gotten worse over the last few years. The last time we went to Disney we ate at Teppan Edo. I love the restaurant and the food. However, I can't have any shellfish prepared with my food. Mine would have to be cooked separately from the others. Is this even possible? I know that we share the table with others.

It's really annoying I know, but can they accommodate this request?

Simple answer is yes, they have done it for me before. They will work with the chef about what he will do, either your food will be cooked in the back or they will wait till the end of the cooking to cook the seafood. Mine was prepared in the back separately and brought out to me.

Unlike exactly what @Valstew stated, they either cook it in the kitchen apart from all other food or cook it on the Teppan Grill first. The grill is thoroughly cleaned between seatings. So it is safest to cook your food before any shell fish might be cooked on the grill, not after.

I am gluten intolerant and have been to Teppan Edo a number of times. They always make mine first. They are very good about allergies. The manager comes over and talks to you and tells you what they can do. I have never had any problems. Hope this helps and you enjoy the meal.

That is what Valstew stated - that the seafood is cooked at the end after the other food is cooked. I had to read that post twice because like you I thought it was stated that the other food would be cooked last - which didn't make any sense to me. It was just in the phrasing, but I made pretty sure that's what was meant.
