Tepenyaki (?) and an infant

We've done it! But it depends, too, on the temperament of your child. For us, they placed our then infant son in a high chair at the corner of the table....farthest away from the hot grill top. We always did a late lunch and it seemed to move pretty quickly.

We love a tepanyaki style restaurant near us, and we have been taking DD since she was 2 months old. She loves the entertainment. We just sit her farther away from the grill surface and pull her back and turn her head during the fire scenes. She loves fried rice now and get anxious when the chef puts the rice on the table. She will try to get out of high chair to help chef work faster :)

We've also done it with very small ones, and on the last trip our girls were 2 & 4, our friends girls were 1 & 3 - they put the babies on the corners, and DH and I each had an "assigned" child to help. They loved the show and really loved the food. The have plain rice which might be a huge hit at that age. They also (when they were babies) brought out a fruit cup for us that had mandarin oranges, grapes and such for the baby to snack on while we ate.
