We are staying at the BCV in December and would like to try one of these. We will be traveling with 6 adults and DD4, DS2, and DD1. We have not taken our kids to any type of Japanese steakhouse and figured that there would be not better place to try one out than WDW; however, I have also heard that Biergarten will keep the kids entertained. My guess is that Biergarten will be a more unique experience that we could not get at home.

Thanks,

I would definitely choose Biergarten!! As you said, you can find a Jap. Steakhouse just about anywhere, but for the German experience only at WDW! They do it very well - the food is a wide variety that is sure to please everyone and the entertainment is great. HAVE FUN :Pinkbounc

I think they are both great choices. Last year we had dinner at Japan and the table next to us was filled w/ kids and it seemed like they all loved it. Each kid thought it was so great to watch them prepare there food. The only thing I was scared about was them touching the hot grill because it was so close to thier plates. Biergarten is also a great place for them to be entertained. IMO, you cant go wrong w/ either one.... :rotfl:

Coming from someone that looooves Japanese food, Japanese steakhouses... we weren't impressed with Teppanyaki. It might have been our chef; he was not very into the show. But judging just from the food, it was really not that great. My DH went away hungry, which is nearly impossible at WDW!! I was more than full, but I did notice that the other family we were seated with did not have quite enough to eat either, and we were all disappointed in the lack of showmanship. The meat was overcooked, despite my DH's request for rare steak, and my scallops were far overcooked. I was really looking forward to this meal, and just was not happy with it overall.

Another vote for Biergarten! They get the kids up dancing on the stage with the band! They'll have a great time!

I also vote for Beirgarten.. My family LOVES Japanese and we were very dissapointed in Teppenyaki. Beirgarten has something for even the pickiest eaters and they have BIG tables too..
