Tepan Edo

we had lunch there last summer. The chef and our server were quite an entertaining duel. My oldest son can't stop talking about how cute our server was!! My hubby and I ordered the filet while my sons both had the steak and shrimp combo. We were on the Deluxe DP. We all ordered salad as our appetizers. I was going to get the tempera, but opt the salad to stay light and fit. :thumbsup2 For desserts, we were surprised that the green tea puddings we ordered turned out pretty good. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch at Teppan Edo. So much so that we have an ADR to return there again next month. Beware that you'll be seating with other guests at your table. The table sits 8 people. I remembered that we had to wait a bit for our table-mates to show up. The family sitting with us turned out to be from NY too.

Our entire family loved it; even my picky eater DH! In September we are doing the QS plan, but Teppan Edo is already on our list for 2011 when we are going back to the Deluxe plan. We enjoyed the food, the service, everything about it!

I'm glad to hear that you all enjoyed Teppan Edo. I have booked this ADR for this August and look forward to it. I'm sure my boys will enjoy it as well!

This is a MUST DO on all my trips. The food is fantastic - fresh and plentiful. I never leave here hungry.

The service is also out of this world. Last Nov. we did a Grand Gathering here. Of course, my 5 yr old nephew fell asleep about 10 minutes before our 7p dinner ressies. We thought it would be a problem ( we woke him, but he kept falling back to sleep ). The hostess noticed and solved our problem. She leaned two chairs up against one of the walls and told us we could set him down there if he wanted to rest. He missed a fantastic meal, but we didn't have to listen to a cranky kid ( and neither did anyone else! )

Sure, I can visit Benihana at home - but where are you gonna get service like that!

Teppan Edo is a family tradition!

I've been to Teppan Edo (formerly Teppan Yaki) probably at least 10 times in the past 20 years.....

DS18 and I went May 14th 2010... I asked DS18 "What ONE thing do we HAVE To do for your Graduation Celebration" and he answered "TEppan Edo" which surprised me... it was before any park or resort designation.....

We had a LOVELY 2:15pm lunch there and everything was wonderful as always... It differs every year we go... (for example ...we had DDP in '04 and were able to get appy's...they don't allow that now)...However... it was a wonderful experience... and some of the BEST tasting food of the trip!

Hugs,
Mary

Teppan Edo is great. It is delicious and so entertaining. Honestly, I was a bit scared of the dessert choices...I went with the green pudding and although it looked horrible, it actually tasted very good! I tried a bite of the cake and was very happy with my pudding choice.

It's the same as any Japanese steak house. The food is good and all sitting at one table watching the chefs performance is fun! The food is very fresh and it's hoot watching people eat with chop sticks!

In my opinion, TE is pretty subpar as far as hibachi restaurants go. The food is alright (not great but not awful) and the show there is not really any different than any other hibachi chef for the most part.

If you don't really have a good hibachi restaurant near where you live, then you should enjoy your meal. However, if you do have one near you that you go to and with all the other dining options at WDW, my advice is that you consider trying something new.

This is one of my favorite Disney and Epcot restraunts. It is very similiar to the common restraunt Benihanas.
