I looked through all my literature from our last stay at the CR, and the only thing I could find there was from the directory of services newsletter that was in my resort map package that says "Tennis - Six lighted clay courts are located adjacent to Disney's Contemporary Resort North Garden Building. Tennis instruction is available by calling 407-WDW-PLAY".
I also found this review in my CR bookmarked pages:
Tennis, anyone? If that's your game, then the Walt Disney World Resort is the place to play, with (currently) 25 resort tennis courts located throughout the 47 square-mile property. The Contemporary Resort is home to Disney's Racquet Club, featuring features six clay (Hydrogrid) courts, with lights for evening play. Other court locations include Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (two Har-tru Clay courts), Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground (two hard courts), Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort (one hard Plexiplave court), and Disney's Old Key West Resort (three hard courts), and Disney's Boardwalk Resort (2 hard Plexiplave courts). All are lighted for night play, and tennis lessons are available at the Contemporary Resort and at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Since 1997, the 200 acre Disney's Wide World of Sports complex offers 11 lighted, world-class clay courts. The center court stadium has permanent seating for 1,100 and was host to the men's Clay Court Championships from 1997-2000.
And:
Although WDW is not well-known as a tennis resort destination, with 25 courts spread about, you can surely get in a match if you want to. Also of interest, the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships are held in the Spring at the Wide World of Sports Complex. Reservations for court time, lessons, and/or equipment rental (ball machines and racquets) can be made by calling WDW-PLAY (939-7529). Court hours are typically 7:00am to 7:00pm.
Clay courts are available at Disney's Racquet Club (WDW's premier tennis spot) located at the Contemporary resort (6 courts), and the Grand Floridian (2 courts). Hard courts can be found at Old Key West Resort (3 courts) and the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Boardwalk Resort, and Fort Wilderness (2 courts each). (Note: There are also 4 courts shared by the Swan & Dolphin.)
Serve up the good times on professionally-designed and maintained courts. Choose from eight clay and eight hard courts. Enjoy matchless play whether for fitness or just for fun. Take "advantage" of a variety of clinics, drill sessions and private instruction that caters to new tennis players as well as returning veterans for a "net" gain of fun! It's a smash!
Tennis buffs will enjoy the six clay tennis courts. A Pro shop, tennis lessons, drill lessons and clinics are available.

Hope this helps - guess you'll have to call the 407-WDW-PLAY to get the rates!
