Hopefully this is the right spot! Well...we're taking the plunge and we're driving down to Florida for March break. We're thinking of stopping around tennessee, not far off the I-75. Any ideas? We'd prefer no more than $100

The Knoxville area will be the most populated area in Tennessee. It has many hotels since the University of Tennessee is located in Knoxville. You may want to drive an extra 30 minutes out I 40 to the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area - there is a new resort in Sevierville with a huge indoor waterpark (Wilderness at the Smokies). Many hotels in that area do have indoor pools. Have a great trip!!!

Pigeon Forge is 45 minutes from Knoxville each way, not sure I would want to go out of my way that far for a hotel and not to split hairs but....Knoxville is far from being the most populated.

Memphis - Population: 650100

I don't know of any hotel's in Chattanooga with a waterslide but several have indoor pools.

Since you want right off I-75 this one might work with no getting off I-75

I believe that the PP meant that Knoxville would be the most populated area travelled through along I75. I am unaware of any hotels with a waterslide along the corridor.

Thanks kydisneyfans - I did mean that Knoxville would be the most populated along the I-75 route. I am not aware of any hotels with waterslides in any area near the I-75 route with the exception of Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area which mapquest shows as a 35 minute drive time to Seivierville.
Total Travel Estimate: 35 minutes / 29.02 miles

I would not trust that time estimate to Sevierville, especially on a weekend. It could easily take you double or triple the time, unless the hotel is directly off I40. Another option to look at would be a hotel near a community rec center. Here in Georgetown we have the usual interstate chain hotels, and about a half mile down the road we have the Pavilion which has a full sized swimming pool, waterslides, and a kiddie spray area, along with basketball courts, a walking track, weights, etc. Cost of admission is $5 a person.

I agree with the above about traffic, I have spent over 1 hour just trying to make it down the Parkway into Gatlinburg from I-40, it can be very bad around the weekends especially.
