Tennesee tornadoes

Hope everyone is OK!!

We're at a standstill here. Nothing is open, no one is going out, and everything is closed. I don't even expect to see a snow plow probably until tomorrow sometime. We've had about a foot of snow so far and still going. The drifts are huge! I can't even see my neighbors house with the blowing snow. It started here at 2:45 PM yesterday afternoon and is still going strong.

This has been some winter!!

We had some trees down here this afternoon. We didn't have any tornadoes in East TN, but the wind was pretty crazy. We were without power for a little while this afternoon, but it's back now.

We had some trees down here this afternoon. We didn't have any tornadoes in East TN, but the wind was pretty crazy. We were without power for a little while this afternoon, but it's back now.

As soon as the weather report came on.. DD ran to the computer and looked up UT...and than the map of the state to determine if they were any where close to you..

We had something hit (possibly straight line winds) about 10-15 miles due west of us.. what was really weird is the storm than broke off into like to areas and skirted right around our town.. limbs done but nothing more...

It was so sad to hear about the loss of lives..and that poor University in Jackson that has gotten hit 3 times in the past 8 years..

Glad to hear you all are fine.. I will be letting DD know after she finishes her homework..
