tender tickets

My dad and I are doing the captain marvins snorkel. We know we have ot get tender tickets. We are planning on getting off by 9:00. It says they start giving out tender tickets at 7:30,but it is says not to get them until your ready to get off. Is that true? How long do you wait after you get them. We just want to get off in time so we can meet captain marvins at 9:15. My mom and sister arnet getting off until open tender. We have never had to do the tender ticket before thats why i wandered.
