Will I have any trouble getting off the boat for a 9am pickup, for a non-disney excursion? We are planning to do the horseback riding, and want to do it early, so we can make the 1245 stingray snorkeling. I realize I'll have to get my tender ticket, and make sure to be first thing in that line. If I do that will I still have trouble?
Thanks all!

Because everyone must use the tender, they allow you to use the tender in order with the earliest DISNEY booked excursions first. I don't believe that you can use the tender until the last of the DISNEY booked excursion trips have boarded the tender. On the 7/6 Western, they wouldn't let anyone without a Disney paid excursion on the tender until about 10:30 AM.

Anyone else out there recall about what time they let you take the tender if you had no Disney excursions booked?

I believe you can join shore excursions that depart later in the day at the dock. You don't have to take a tender back to the ship in order to meet your afternoon excursion.

Recent cruisers, correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know if it matters, but I will have a disney excursion booked, but not till 1245. They really don't let people off the boat for over 2 hours after docking? I can't believe that!
The boat is supposed to be ready for all ashore at 8am!
If that's true it would make an early morning excursion that's non disney impossible.
Anyone else try to do early stuff, non-disney?

Just bumping this because I really want to book a 9 am horseback ride if possible.
What's the earliest people have gotten off the boat if not doing a disney excursion?

Will there be any problems making that excursion? I was under the impression the tenders start running right at 8am?

Am I reading this correctly? They will not let you off the ship until later in the morning if you don't have Disney excursion tickets? We've booked a private sail around Grand Cayman that leaves at 8:45AM. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I call Disney and ask what the policy is?

I am not missing this excursion. Period.

My info from Cpt Marvins says we whould be there by 10:45 for the 11:15 excursion...

Sure hope this isn't a problem.... There are 19 of us going!!!

Someone is sending bad info on this subject. I have read several posts and direct emailed with previous Western Cruisers on this subject, because we leave in one week and have a early morning non Disney Excursion with CaptN Marvins.

You can most definitly get off the ship onto the FIRST tenders, you just have to be ready to go early with your whole group and get a tender ticket. It has been sugested to be in the area of the tender ticket distribution between 7 and 7:30.

So don't sweat it make your resi and have fun.

All the Best,

Dave,

This past July we did not have to return to the ship in order to go on our afternoon excursion. We just met them on the dock.

I saw a post by Buckaroosdad a while back & he did the horse bach ride in the morning and raved about it..don't know how to find the post...so he made it with out a problem
