Just wondering if anyone has some feedback on the Grand Californian’s spa? What treatments did you get and did you enjoy them? I’m considering a massage and facial for my 21 year old daughter and I.

I have already booked Yoga in Redwood Creek and Paddleboard fitness.

Thanks!

I've been there a few times for massage and it's been great. There aren't extensive grounds and additional amenities - just locker rooms, relaxation/waiting area, and treatment rooms - so it's really not a 'hang out all day' type of spa. You're basically there only for your appointments. But I've enjoyed all my experiences there.

I love it. I’ve only had massages but it’s so nice. They give you robes and sandals to wear. There is a steam room to use as well. And a nicely stocked locker room. While you wait there is a lounge with snacks and drinks. Lots of baked goods and infused water. The massages were wonderful. I had the 80 min deep tissue and 50 min signature. Both wonderful with your choice of lotion sent and music. If you have any specific questions I’ll try to answer! I don’t think you will regret going. I really enjoyed it.

My sister and I did their Mindful Traveler foot treatment halfway through our trip and we really loved it!

Mindful Traveler 50 min

$150.00
Sink into pure relaxation with an exfoliating foot soak and energizing massage designed to help reduce lower leg water retention, increase circulation, relieve lower leg muscle stress and leave legs and feet silky smooth.

Did the same last year. It was outstanding. With all the walking at the parks this treatment just ROCKED in every respect.

I've had a couple facials and happened to have the same person both times. She was excellent both times and it was 2 totally different types of facials.

In the salon, I had an express pedicure (I don't think they offer it anymore) and recently a seasonal foot massage. Since I have been trained to give massage, I am always disappointed with spa massages because they are just a basic recipe and this was nothing special.

I took sound/breath work and it was spectacular. I believe the same instructor does all the fitness classes.

Pro tip - go to the spa slightly hungry. They have snacks while you wait for your service in the relaxation room (spa only - salon doesn't have access) and get there the full 30 minutes early.

Thank you everyone for your awesome feedback and advice! I get regular massages and was wondering how the spa massage would go. I would cancel it and opt fo something else except I think my lower back may need the TLC by the time our appointments roll around. We will have had 3.5 park days done by then.
