Oldest is at ILs, was supposed to come home tomorrow, but wants to stay longer. Has a report due on Monday. Did he take his stuff to work on it? Noooo. So guess who gets to be the big meanie on Sunday when he comes home and can't play any Xbox till his done. Which means no Xbox until after homework on Monday.

Wait a minute. I was just told that I was the meanest mom in the entire universe. (Now that is an achievement. I KNOW you are jealous of me.) It is just because I made DS do his homework before Cub Scouts and not after. Sheesh.

I got the nasty.. "why am I even going to practice if you are going to be mad at me and make me write my words I do know 5 times each when I get home!".. Well, dear.. it's because when I asked you when your test was you told me you didn't know.. (mommy, knows the tests are always on Thursday!)
Lucky for him, DD figured out the word.. Now he has all 25 words to write! I bet he won't forget his words again!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses that tactic.. I offered to go to school and sit in class with them if they can't remember to write their homework down..

DD tried to play the card "they don't tell us when tests are til the last minute".. Yet, when we went to parent night the teachers were admant that they have the week's schedule written on a dry erase board all week long! I offered to go to each class and point it out to her!

I think it has a lot to do w/ the fact last week was spring break and they are trying to get back into the swing of things..

Alright, off to check the storm track... major hail storm is the next county over according to the news.. which means.. I'll have to call and warn DH because they are at soccer practice now... ergh!

I have 2 teenagers.. one on the verge of it this summer.. and two waiting in the wings... So, I'm in for a world of problems in the next few years... Thank goodness there is only one girl...but I can imagine the boys will give me fits too!!!

Nancy, it's been terrible here today. Most of the schools were closed due to th snxx storm and ice! It's been blowing side-ways We're supposed to get more tonight. It's bad enough that we won't be going to rehearsal.

This reminds me of the girls I used to coach. They would say, "You're such a B*%&#", and I would smile and say, "Yes, that's right. You can tell everyone just finding that out that you knew it first."

I say go for the gold--if you're going to be mean. . .and making them do their homework is VERY mean. . .then be the meanest!!!
