I need some help, I have the DDP for 10 days and I have made ADRs for the following places.....please tell me if the places I chose are worth my while and taste buds. TIA

1TS - Garden Grill/Coral Reef - Lunch (there is 10 of us going and some don't like seafood
1TS - Hollywood and Vine - Fantasmic Dinner Package
2TS - Illuminations - Grand Gathering Dinner
1TS - Boma - Dinner
2TS - Dinner at Hoop De doo Revue
1TS - 50's Prime Time Café - Lunch
1TS - Chef Mickeys - Dinner
1TS - Le Cellier - Dinner

How about LTT whn you are MK, dinner is a family style character meal. Perosnally I am not fond of 50's Prime Time, but only because I do not like to be told to eat my greens! Boma is nice, but it does get over rated. Otherwise is looks good :)

Hollywood and Vine isn't my favorite. It's kinda of cafeteria-like and I just thought the food was OK. If you've never done it before, go for it. You might like it, but I guess I just thought it was OK. We went to Sci-Fi Dine in last time and liked it better. The food wasn't outstanding (decent though), but the ambiance makes up for it!

We liked LeCellier, the breadsticks are fabulous! :teeth:

Here's by 2 cents:

2TS - Dinner at Hoop De doo Revue -- Thought it was just ok.
1TS - 50's Prime Time Café - Lunch -- Favorite place to dine!! :cool1:
1TS - Chef Mickeys - Dinner -- Worst meal I've ever had at WDW. :crazy2:
1TS - Le Cellier - Dinner -- I've been pleased with here in the past.

Would recommend the Crystal Palace over CM's in a heartbeat. ::yes:: :cool1:
Also, Liberty Tree Tavern is good.
The Rose & Crown is always a must place to dine for me each trip!! ::yes:: :cool1:

Just double checking, you said 10 days of DDP, so you are staying 10 nights because your points are based on the # of nights you stay. I agree with above I would definately go to Crystal Palace or LTT over Chef Mickey's.
I know you do not see mickey at CP but the food is better by far. I do not know anything about that illuminations grand gathering dinner so I can not comment. Is the Mama Melrose fantasmic package the same number of credits? If so I would go for that over Hollywood and Vine. We used the DP on our last trip and really loved it. I think most of your choices are great. Do what your group wants that is what really matters. One place that we felt had good food was Kona at the Poly. Wasn't my favorite atmosphere but the food was really good. Also our biggest surprise was Biergarten. That was our favorite meal of all. Would be fun with a big group. I just remembered you have some folks that do not like seafood and there is quite a bit at Kona, however the other choices there were also good. Have a great time.

The only one I would have any doubts about would the Coral Reef. I have not heard good reviews and my parents were there last year and were not impressed at all. Other thatn that, I think you have made some good decisions.

I agree that Le Cellier is great. I've never been to Boma - no one else in my family ever wants to go. As far as the others ...

I think the Hoop-Dee-Doo and 50s Prime Time are more about the atmosphere than the food. Go and have a good time - may not be the best meal you ever had, but you'll have fun and the food is tasty if not spectacular. If atmosphere is the logic behind the Coral Reef/Garden Grille, then go for it. I'm not a huge fan to be honest, but I've never had a bad experience there. If I'm at Epcot, I'm almost certainly going to go eat in World Showcase somewhere.

I like Hollywood and Vine, but I think I prefer Brown Derby or Mama Melrose. I also like SciFi. Make sure you make use of one of the web sites that has menus posted. People seem to have very strong opinions about Chef Mickeys. I think it's fun, but I'll agree the food is better at CP or LTT (characters available at all three). I might consider going for breakfast rather than dinner. There is something really enjoyable about visiting the different hotels.

At the end of the day, you're at Disney, so no worries. You won't be hungry and food always tastes better when you're happy.

Your choices are OK go with them. Next trip try others. Have a great vacation.

I agree with some of the OP. We like Chef Mickey's for breakfast, but didn't like it at all for dinner. As far as MGM, we like Mama Melrose's too, and it's a better value for you $$ as far as the dining plan goes. When we're on the dining plan we try to stay away from buffets, since you don't usually come out ahead on those anyway. LTT we love, HDDR we've only done once but are planning again for this year. I've never heard anything good about Coral Reef, and the only time I've ever been to Garden Grill was for the Ice Cream Social, but I wasn't impressed with the restaraunt or the service. I would go to world showcase. LeCellier is amazing, we'll be back there in Oct. as well.
