We are going to Disney 11/27-12/3 :cool1: I was curious about the weather and the crowds at that time. If anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks

We went in early Dec. a few years ago and it was uncrowded and the temp.s were great! We wore shorts and went swimming. I think the high was about 80-84 but the weather was warmer than usual. I think it's a great time to go with the decorations and holiday music.

We're going to be there during the same time! :)

Here is hoping for good weather and low crowd!

this is when we always go--great weather, but keep in mind it can be chilly especially during the evening hours. also, it can be rainy. the crowds are usually low, but the word is out that this is a great time to go. also, the warner cheerleaders are usually there at this time. enjoy! :earboy2:

It will be pretty crowded until the Sunday after Thanksgiving, then it tapers off fast. We have been there the week after Thanksgiving four times. It use to be a ghost town in the early '90's. Attendance has picked up, but doesn't compare to holidays and summer.

Weather is totally unpredictable. We have never experience HOT weather, but have and a full range of everything else. I think the average daytime temp for December is 73. We would sometimes get a couple of pretty chilly days and once it was downright cold (50's day 30' night). Just remember that's not typical, but it is possible. We have always been able to get a day warm enough for a water park. Lowest month for rain. As far as packing, check accuweather.com before you pack. They have a 15 day forecast. That way you can pack appropriately and not have to bring everying you own! We have never brought winter clothing (I refuse!!) and a couple of times we bought sweatshirts in the evenings when we got caught unprepared in the parks for chilly weather, but we're from Michigan so even 70 is wonderful in December!!

The past two times the wife and I went during early December we got nights that were in the 30s. Since they make it snow for the MVMCP the temp feels appropriate. Even during the day we had on sweatshirts with T-shirts under them. Boy I guess my blood has really thined living in FL for so many years.

Prepare for anything but have gone 2 out of the last 3 years I can say it was cool and even cold. Getting wet on Splash Mountain was not fun. :earboy2:

However even when it was cold I saw a bunch of kids at the pool at the Wilderness Lodge.

Look at the PC pool 12/7-12/12....I am sure my kids will be in there, they think they are part fish :fish: !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey resort neighbor, we'll be at the Villas for the same time period.

Thanks everyone...I guess we will have to look at the forecast before we pack. I have a 2 year-old so we have to make sure to bring some warm clothes for her!

First of all, we will be there this year Nov. 30 - Dec. 4. :)

Last year we went Dec. 17 - 21st.... and boy were we glad we brought some sweatshirts and pants. A cold front had come in and it was about 35 degrees in the morning and then during the day it warmed up to the 50's.... But at the first of the trip we were wearing shorts during the day, and then at night it did get cooler, a sweatshirt worked fine for us.

So my advice is bring summer and winter clothes (by winter clothes i mean sweatshirts, pants, gloves, hat or scarf), so your covered. I felt really bad for folks after that front came through, here we are wearing about 3 shirts, with a sweatshirt, pants, scarf and gloves, and the other folks who were surprised with the front were only in shorts and shortsleeved shirts....yikes!! Better to be safe then sorry!

We have been glad we had our winter jackets and gloves more than once in Dec and Jan at disney esp in the evening.

Usually of a morning when we knew it was gonna be warming up left the room in jeans and tshirt and maybe a light jacket usually a zip up the front sweatshirt for the jacket they was easy to take off and carry if we had to.

Love going early Dec and Jan before and after the holiday rush. Maybe some day I'll be able to go again at that time can't take DD out of school no more tho:(

agree with the "pack for anything posters" just don't be fooled and think Fl+winter=warm.
last time we were there even the Disney station was off on the forecast...everyone was walking around in shorts and sleeveless and the temp was no more than 50 during the day and windy, ...we went back and changed into jeans and needed our heavy winter coats by that night. according to the news that was "unusually" cold but you just don't know and it's no fun freezing all day.

I have been to WDW about 9 times during early December. I have always refused to brng actual winter clothing - however I always bring a flannel shirt, and my zip-up hooded sweatshirt. The sleeves of the sweatshirt are a bit long, so if my hands are cold, I just tuck my hands up.

One year at MVMCP, my long sleeve polyester shirt was way too hot - and another year at MVMCP, I needed the flannel shirt and sweatshirt, WITH the hood tied tight.

So you need to be prepared for anything.

It should be perfect! This is one of the best times of the year to go, if not, thee best. It's right after Thanksgiving and right before the Xmas holidays. Weather should be enjoyable too if you don't like the heat. Have fun!

We went 2003 first week in Dec. Had a great time but it was cold. I had to buy gloves at AK. Be sure to bring layers. We wound up getting a locker and leaving coats there and wearing just a sewatshirt sometimes but always had a coat and gloves at night. The decorations are beautiful! Have fun! :sunny:
