Temporarily Closed?

I was just checking out wait times on the app and there are a bunch of rides showing as Temporarily Closed at both parks. I know that happens when there’s an earthquake but nothing is showing on the news. Is anyone at the parks noticing a preponderance of temporary closures? Maybe it’s a glitch on my app?

Edited to add the rides I’m seeing as being Temporarily Closed: BTMRR, GSS, Golden Zephyr, GRR, HM, Incredicoaster, IJ, Inside Out, Jumpin Jellyfish, Little Mermaid, Luigi’s, WTP, Matterhorn, Millennium Falcon, Pirates, Radiator Springs, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Star Tours, RotR, TSMM, and WS!!!!!

We are here now and SO glad we have a room at the Grand to wait our the power outage in. It was SO hot and we ducked out of the parks for a quick rest/cool down right before this power outage happened.

Kinda bummed, though, because we finally got a Web Slingers BG today and now it looks like we won't make it on since we want to be in Disneyland this evening for fireworks and dinner.

They let us into guardians but it's not running. We are just sitting here. So now there are wait times but it's not really working

If it's been really hot the power grid may be overloaded locally , and being the 4th with the first probably mass gatherings which could be testing the area in a way. It happens in florida semi often due to weather.

It's not REALLY that hot. We are just wimps when it comes to heat/sun. It was probably only about 80 today, max. The sun is STRONG, though. And the heat reflects off the ground and makes it feel much warmer.

I have not heard of any local, widespread power outages. Seems confined to the DLR. Power is on in several locations and the hotels.

We were at Carthay when the power went out. Was very short, but all the rides had to be checked and recycled. The kids were at the front of the line for WS and they got a scan added back to their passes, then were allowed to use the FP entrance. My son lives a few blocks away off Harbor and they lost power for about a minute also, and another friend lives by Katella and the 57 and they said they lost power briefly. When we crossed to Disneyland for fireworks, the front gate person said only affected them for a few minutes.

I remember from visiting WDW in Florida back in the mid-90s how a large number of rides tend to shut down if there's a problem, whether that's down to power issues or incoming weather. Although they do their best (and did on this occasion) to get things running again shortly afterwards, once it was safe too. In this case it was an incoming storm that poured quite a lot of rain onto the park (WDW) but things got going again about half an hour later. I'm sure DL have similar policies at work.

At dca guardians was down for 3 hours. I was there. The bigger rides definitely took them to recover and dca was more impacted then dl.

They did offer fast pass for whichever ride you were in line for when it went out.
