Temperatures at Sea in December?

I note that the Bahamas are showing highs around 80 -- but what is the temperature like at sea? Is it cold? Will we need to have jeans, long-sleeved shirts, jackets? I'm hoping NOT.

We were very comfortable last year the second week of December (at least on the ship--it was cold in FL). It was certainly warm enough to use the pools on the ship, and we actually got in the water for a little while on Castaway Cay, even though it was a bit cooler than I would have liked.
