I'm starting to feel like I'm loosing my mind here because I can't remember what 70 degrees actually feels like and I'm starting to second guess what I've packed for my trip. :lmao: I packed capri pants and long sleeve knit "t-shirts". Should I pack short sleeves instead? Weather is saying mid to upper 60's and partly sunny. It has been so cold here this winter, I really am starting to forget what that feels like. :lmao:

Okay, your post is very funny!

For 68-70 degrees, I like 3/4 length t-shirts and light weight pants - maybe jeans. My DH and kids prefer shorts and t-shirts at that temp.

What time of year is it around 70* in VA? Figure out what you wear in April (or whenever) and take that.

Nicole

Good point, Nicole! I would wear about the same as you 3/4 length sleeves and Capri pants with crocs or maybe flip flops if sunny. I do have that covered so I'm going with what is packed already. Woohoo! I'm ready to go then! LOL

It was highs in the upper 60's and low to mid 70's the entire trip for me earlier this month and I wore t-shirts and shorts the entire time and brought with a light jacket to wear when it got cooler at out at night. Everyone else in my family wore jeans and short sleeve shirts for most of the trip except 1 or 2 days though since the upper 60's to them is not shorts weather.

Yoshi, thanks for the wardrobe report. I'm packing correctly. It sounds like you had my idea of perfect weather.

GoofyforDisney3, when are you leaving? I arrive on Tuesday!

Nicole

Keep in mind that 70 degrees will feel warmer if you're used to the cold, than if you are used to warmer weather.

I agree with the PP. My mom used to live in New England. Now she lives in Florida. If it went below 70 she'd be hauling out the parka. :rotfl:

I call 70 degrees "fleece and flip flop" weather. That means, I usually will have on capri pants or jeans (usually rolled up to capri length) and a short sleeve shirt with a lightweight fleece jacket and flip flops. That is my ideal temperature! (And living in Michigan, I could seriously use some of that weather right now!!!!)

We fly out early tomorrow morning and I can't wait! It is just me and a friend going this trip. We are looking forward to doing things that our husbands and kids don't or won't do.

That is so true. I guess it will just give me a reason to buy a short sleeve shirt or two if I get hot.

I live in Michigan. I got married on Memorial Day weekend - so, the end of May. DH's cousin from California came to the wedding and brought her full-length fur coat! :rotfl:

I am doing a girl's getaway as well. I am meeting a childhood friend of mine from another state that I haven't seen in nine years! We are planning on cocktails, massages, afternoon tea, more cocktails, good dinners and a slow pace.

Enjoy your trip!

i had the same thought about what to pack! it is saying it could be anywhere from 60 to 70 degrees.... could that be swimming weather at all???? i just want one day to take my son to the pool. we are staying at the beach club and sab looks amazing! :)

We're going Feb 1-8 and I am having the same dilemma. My parents who live in FL keep telling me how cold it has been lately, so I'm thinking long pants, sweatshirts, socks, etc. BUT cold to them is 70 degrees! Right now it's 66 in my house and I am sweating.

So now my plan is one pair of jeans to wear on the plane along with my sneakers, long sleeve shirt and a fleece (remember I'm in Vermont)! Once I get there I will have my capris, a couple tanks, a couple short sleeves, and a couple 3/4 sleeve. AND my flipflops. No swimsuit as we don't plan on swimming this trip as I really need it to be 80 plus to do that! I may also bring a pair of sweatpants...

Thank goodness for jetblue and their first bag flies free policy!

We were there 1/4-1/14 and most of our days were 64-73 degrees. I wore jeans and long sleeves every day. I was NEVER hot. I could have been comfortable in short sleeves for most of the day.

For me the main problem was the wind--it made things feel cooler.

Oh, and one evening it was supposed ot be in the lower 50's and we were planning on watching the MEP/Wishes at MK. I thought we'd freeze but for some reason it was pretty pleasant. I think the orientation of the buildings keep the breezes away and we stayed comfortable. DHS had the WORST issue with wind during our trip.

I always pack stuff that can be layerd.
We are from CT so even when we go and it seems cold for all the residents we are like yes lets hit the pools it is 60!!!
we usually go in March and last year did Feb and hit a cooler time.
days were mostly shorts but nights cool and sweaters and sweatshirts.
We were at Epcot wearing out winter coats. seriously!
seeing I have 2 or more feet of snow in m yard and another 2 coming next week. i would be thrilled to hear my vacation week will be 50!

Yep, it depends on where you are from. Also, if the HIGH for the day is 70 it will ONLY be 70 for an hour or so at the hottest part of the day. The mornings and evenings will be much cooler.

The pools are always heated. I would say based on where you are from you will be swimming in the afternoons.
Being a southerner I prefer to swim when it is 85+

take layers...and don't forget long pants....the weather can be bitter cold at times...was in Early Dec. for a BIG change...then it can be T shirt weather...be prepared for all has been my experience from late Oct. to late March!!!
