My DD has one friend who is so full of life. Just looking at her makes you want to smile and do cartwheels or something. She's always UP!:teeth: I swear she needs to come live here and work on my sometimes sullen moody teenager.

Do your kids have any friends that particularly "stand out" as either really good or really bad?

My kids' friends just won't leave!!!! ;) Seriously, I have half the neighborhood on my front porch right now.

Eric (who will be 11 in November) is a social butterfly. He has lots of friends, and they are pretty diverse bunch--white, black, Christian, Jewish, etc. So that's pretty neat.

Hunter (who is 8.5), has a couple friends in the neighborhood, but most of the kids are either young or older than him. His best friend in the world is a girl! (gasp  ). She reminds me of Peppermint Patty. Her dad died from cancer last year, and her mom told me that she's been so much more happy since she and Hunter have become friends. :D I'm proud of him.

My DD is pretty shy and not liking to try new things. She has a friend that just brings her out of her shell. We were at the county fair last week and my DD and I met up with her friend and her Mom. They ran straight for the big blow up slide. I told her Mom that DD would have never even thought about going down that thing without her friend being there.

Hopefully that is a good thing!!!!!!

Thank goodness so far all of DD's friends are good kids. One has a heart problem, so I fear them getting really close (which has already happened) because likely she will lose her. No dd does not know that because the little girl does not know that and I don't want all thier happy moments to be clouded. I am pretty close to this girl too and I feel so bad that her prognosis is not better. I just hope for medical advances! They are doing what they can, but as she gets older the time may come where a transplant could be the last resort- it only adds 10 years to a prognosis curently.

If I haven't killed my son's BF by the end of the weekend, I'll come back and tell you all about him. He's staying with us for the weekend, this kid is a little......oh never mind......it being a family board and all. :p

Other than him, the rest of them are all sweet, polite kids.

LOL Snoopy. DD used to be close friends with a girl who NEVER stopped talking. She would talk about everything - to DD , to me, to DH - it didn't matter to her.

There was even some talk of bringing her on a roadtrip to WDW with us. As nice as the girl was, I shot that down pretty quick.

This kid is the opposite. He never talks. You can look him point blank in the face and ask him a question and he doesn't respond. Rudest little kid I've ever come across. His mother seems to think its cute.

We have a few "talkers" in my kids' circle of friends, I get a kick out of them. Its funny listening to what goes on in little kids' heads.

The "talker" my DD was friends with used to tell us about her dog's monthly problems.

my ds are complete opposites: older ds is very outgoing and makes friends with everyone--all of his friends are pretty good!! My other ds is very shy and quiet! He has a few friends that he tends to play with and they are good too! As for the next door neighbors that they play with:crazy: i think i would go nuts if they were here every day!!!

My boys friends are great kids. But they just never leave. Seriously. Sometimes even if my boys aren't home they will knock on the door and ask to use the shower or if they can crash in the family room. I sometimes go into the boys room and find somebody sleeping on their bed. Yep, I think I"ll be glad when summer's over. But my boys are going to be seniors this year and a huge part of me will miss this when they're gone. Not that I expect this any time soon as I believe summers will be like this all thru the college years.

DS's best friend is a fiesty little redhead who comes in and
drinks all my milk and then asks me what I'm making for dinner
in case he wants to stay. LOL! I love him to bits!
I keep all the kids fav snaks so they will come here. Best place for them is right under my nose. I heard one child tell my son
that our house was "nothin but fun fun fun!"
They have to clean up their messes but they must not mind.
I let em get wet and dirty. Love it!
