I would use my fanny pack at Disney, I admit it!

However, I did get a small Le Sportsac last year and I love it! I can wear it cross body and I do believe I will be using that this year instead of the fanny pack.

The stroller we're bringing doesn't have much storage - the camera bag I'm bringing is meant to be held on a belt AND I don't want to have to take off my backpack every time I need something. Am I crazy!? I'm ONLY 29, I'm not 80!

I LOVE my fanny pack while at WDW. Hands free all the way baby! I put all my necessities in the main compartment. The small compartment on the front holds our magical WDW tickets. Easy to unzip and retrieve our tickets at the fastpass distribution for the rides. Little side compartment is made for the cell phone, and I hook my camera bag to the fanny pack strap. It's so easy getting on and off the rides with no bag to try to shove into a holder or under a seat.

Funny story, we went with friends the summer before last. I had my VB, and she had a fanny pack. Soon after, I noticed that she had a VB backpack. Then, we went again this past summer. Both my friend and her dd had the VB backpacks.

1 actually got it at a garage sale....BRAND NEW, NEVER USED! I couldn't believe it. It's black, has Mickey Mouse embroidered on the front, with printing "Mickey Mouse Club". I've never seen another like it.

I check the gift shops all the time. In 2007, I saw a Disney messenger bag in WDW, but it was VERY hard to find & I only saw it in a few gift shops. I wish I'd bought that one. It was nice!

I tried the fanny pack and it doesn't work for me. It gets in the way on rides and after a few hours of trudging around it gets very uncomfortable. I also have to twist my spine to obtain items from the side of the pack.

I honestly don't carry enough to justify a fannypack: just a Tyvek envelop "wallet" (it's waterproof, indestructible, and weightless) with my tickets in it, and maybe a tiny little tin with some aspirin in it if I feel like being prepared. My toddler carries more than me. I know my husband likes to carry more things around than I do (smart phone, camera, odd little envelops of tea...), but all of that seems to fit into his pockets, too.

I'm kind of curious: what do you keep in the fanny packs? Makeup? I can't really come up with anything that's not readily available in the parks, so I wouldn't care to carry it on me. But I don't carry a purse with me out in the real world, so I guess it's just a quirk of mine.

Since we no longer use strollers, I carry a Mickey backpack.

I don't care how they look, they are convenient! Hands-free, and easy to access. And let's face it, we're not exactly talking a place of high fashion when you see lots of people walking around wearing Mickey ears all day.

Park pass, hotel key, credit card, camera, DSs epi-pens. I was debating what to put them in and I'm willing to use a fanny pack if it makes things easier. I don't really think backpacks are any more stylin'.

Except for the epi-pens, I'd carry them in a wallet in my pocket. If I had to carry epi-pens, I'd bite the bullet and wear a fanny pack, purse, or possibly a waterproof "wallet" case around my neck. Minimalism and fashion take a backseat to health and safety any day of the week. (Actually, to be really specific, I'd carry epi-pens in a waterproof fold over "pocket" on my belt or possibly a "hip holster" as sold by Think Geek. I prefer the less bulky profile.)

Amen, I've done the fanny pack thing many times When it's hot outside, the fanny pack is much more comfortable than a back pack.

I bought a Sherpani Pica bag this weekend (I can't post the link since I'm still new here but google it and you'll find it)

I got in black (from a local hiking store) so it goes with everything. I have carried the larger and smaller of their shoulder bags every day as my purse for years with no shoulder pain. This bag will hold my camera - which is as large as a SLR one- room keys, wallet, cell phone and still have room for more.

I have used these bags for years and they are wonderful. They hold up to daily use and are easy to clean.

Nope, we use a backpack to carry water, snacks, money and whatever else we need. I always bring a drawstring bag with my camera and a few other things for myself. Lightweight, & easy to carry.

I have a Mickey Mouse bumbag (can't bring myself to call it a fannypack! ) that I bought two years ago at Mouse Gears. I have tried all different kinds of things: regular backpacks, small backpacks, messenger bags, Ameribags and bumbags. Regular backpacks are too big and I end up carrying it on one shoulder which is not good. Small backpacks are OK ... but my DH ends up filling it with things and it gets too full. Messenger bags and Ameribags have the same problem for women ... when you wear it over your body the strap goes either between your breasts and you feel like an old Playtex commercial (think "lift and separate" without the lifting) or they go over your breasts and up around your neck. Either one is uncomfortable for me. Which leaves me with the lowly and dorky bumbag. I honestly don't care what it looks like because it's comfortable and holds what I need.

Heck yes, I wear one. I consider them to be the latest in-vogue fashion for theme parks, along with Crocs, character clothing, funny hats, ect.

I'll tell you what if you try not to laugh at me walking around the park in my fanny pack, I'll try not to laugh at you wearing a Goofy hat while eating a turkey leg. Ok?

I can't live without my fannypack at WDW. We all wear one! DH has the camcorder in his, and I have the regular camera in mine, plus our other stuff like money, park tickets, phone, etc. The kids carry their own cameras, phones, inhaler, and money. They have to have their own tickets with them so if we split up they can still get fast passes. The only bad part is having to take it off at the bag check before you go into the park, but otherwise it stays on all day and we don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it somewhere. If the girls were carrying purses or backpacks, I'm sure they'd lay them down somewhere and lose them.

I loved mine on the last trip it fit both Camera's and was able to get them out fast when needed.It also held my wallet. I bought one of the bagagin(sp?)bags and HATED it. It hurt my shoulder nad my neck.
